Tomorrow looks horrid. 1-2" of rain and 50+ mph wind gusts. Not buying into anything higher than 50-55 mph right now but even that is quite windy
Re: April 2020 Observations and Discussion
I think the Euro is probably too widespread with 75mph winds, probably more isolated for those gusts. Definitely all models support for 60-70 mph wind gusts though

I think that's just the max gust through that time, it definitely happens earlier than the timestamp here. Probably just a later time to show high gusts in New England also

I thought the winds were really supposed to start cranking after this am batch of heavier rain. I would be more than happy to see the wind forecast bust on the low side as many are working from home and we need power and internet access

The winds are blowing pretty good here. A large part of nj is under a advisory only immediate coast has warning and yes once this big batch rain drives in like right now I can hear the wind it's loud.

Some folks in Highland Falls have lost power and report the winds are howling. That is down county. Up here, near Sullivan...winds are still modest as of 10:45 am

The wind is crazy here. Sounds like a non stop roar. Rain is sweeping across in sustained winds and in past hour power outages rose from 2000 to 4200. So far we still have ours. I'm glad I'm on break this week so I don't have worry bout my video sessions today.

Heavy rain all morning with gusty winds whipping. So far about 1.3” of rain. I think the worst winds may come late this morning and this afternoon with the approaching lines of thunderstorms. There have been reports of 60-70 mph wind gusts in Central PA this morning.

Right in cue like Bill. I'm over here in Hastings on Hudson which is right by river and winds are insane. They upped our wind warning to 70mph. And I cam see why especially if this increases. Lots of small branches down snd seen 1 big tree. 7500 power outages.
