Re: Banter Thread 5.0
Hey everyone,
Just an update: since the week of Thanksgiving, I have been at my parents house in Bellerose so that I can spend the holidays with people I know instead of by myself in my Albany apartment. I did take the precautions necessary before coming down and hopefully nothing backfires. Keeping fingers crossed
At any rate, should be an interesting setup for this coming week. Looks like Monday’s system here might have a bit too warm temps (mid-upper 30s) for snow here. As for the Wednesday system, the rain/snow line is a bit too close for comfort. There looks to be a sharp cutoff in snow totals based on where said line forms. If it ends up being northwest of NYC, not only would NYC have little snow, but areas well north and west, including the Capital Region, would get in on the big snow. I would be quite salty if Albany gets the big snow when I’m not there. Then again, I was there last December when it got 22” from the one event at the beginning.
Also, even if NYC gets in on the big snow, the chances of a White Christmas will likely be dashed by not only the subsequent warm up, but also the cutter that looks to occur around the 23rd-24th time frame.

I am outside doing things and I am hearing the wind. It sounds high up like a jet. Sustained for a few minutes then still. I have so many trees around, I often don’t feel much. It sounds worse. I guess wind will pick up later

A heads up that Janet and I are planning a chat for Tuesday night. Hopefully you all can make it. We will either use the features available to us on this forum, or use an external site like Zoom. I think we’re leaning Zoom!!

Not sure if it was me but we use it for pork roast in the smoker, and they come out really good.
