Was 63* at 6:15 am, now it's down to 46* and falling fast. Some pretty good wind gusts. Went from short sleeves yesterday to a heavy coat dealing with wind chills today!

Temps falling down a cliff. Was 60 at 6:30. Now 45. Thankfully winds were not bad. Worst “damage” was yesterday afternoon when chairs blew off the deck.

The temperature has crashed here too. It was 57° at 7 am and is down to 39° now at about 9:30. All the snow is gone. But the sun is shining very brightly after a nasty and dreary early morning.

JMAN the area got it good when the front moved in - it was not a long duration type of wind storm but the front brought the winds. Up here at school after the front roared through the winds have been whipping around - tree limbs down all over here.

Newark Airport reported a 66mph gust at 6:28am and a 60mph gust at 6:33am.

Saturday afternoon - this would be a pretty intense squall line.

Left my home at 7AM and it was 57* and 20 minutes later arrived at school and it was 50* which is about 8 miles by a crows flight from my home.

Schools closed in Hillsborough, NJ today due to trees and power lines down. Easily had 50 mph gusts earlier this morning between 4-7 am especially when the squall line hit.

The lapse rates up to 850mb look decent to me for a a snow squall tomorrow afternoon. I think the best lapse rates are going to best off to the west though like towards I-81.

Been windy here but no branches or anything down, no power outages, seems like things were very localized. Even the squall/front when came through lasted 30 seconds and was not that severe. Looking forward to that potential short but intense line of snow and probably some intense winds too.

Another wind advisory tomorrow longer duration than last nights quick hitting front gusts to 50 mph if it happens, squall line with whiteout conditions up to a inch possible between 1-5pm highest winds 2pm to 11pm.

14 degrees, amazing 52 degree drop from yesterday morning. Clear.
That possible squall line forming up in Western PA and NY.Shoule be a great show for us if it happens, plus whiten the ground again.Hope the entire board sees it.
Next Wednesday almost 60 then snow Thursday night , down to 24.Tri State winter weather at it's best.Always have said for years watch out for a few day torch in winter because it usually resolves in a snowstorm a few days after.

How does the squall actually intensify over CT don't lines usually weaken west to east. Looks to gain highest intensity once in CT and LI.

I'm 68 and lived in this area of NJ all my life (minus a few months in FL) and have NEVER seen anything like that before! Hurricanes, sure, but never that.

And now another squall is coming through today? Weird weather, for sure.

You likely add moisture and vertical motion associated with temp contrast along the coast in this situation

I know the second squall line is suppose to be the intense one but we're under the first line now and it's not to shabby.

29° and moderate to occasionally heavy snow the last twenty minutes. Probably 1/4 inch at this point. Roads and driveway white.

Same here CP, thought we wouldn't get action until after 12 but this is fun.Definitely a sharper squall line west of us.Maybe we can get an inch or two out of this event.
