25 degrees and moderate freezing rain and sleet now.

This is not good, I don't want to lose power, it takes all the fun out of a storm when you lose power.

CP, first thing I do when I move up to Monroe is get a natural gas powered Generac generator big enough to do the entire house.Don't care if it costs 10 grand.I will NEVER go without power for 8 days like with Sandy ever again.

Great idea Doc, but only oil here, I'm about 1 mile north of central valley golf course, they never ran natural gas lines to east side of route 32.

MY GF is in the area of Monroe that has natiural gas, town water and city sewer.That's why she bought the place.Under my expert guidance,LOL!

iv only temps crashed earlier. Long island would of got pounded with those storms. R/s line crashing east

I'm not as optimistic as I was. The warm air really hung in there tonight. It's hard to tell what this will do later on. Still thinking it snows again. Regardless, fun storm and full of memorable moments.

Rain has stopped in northeast nj and NYC for the most part. This precip down in DC and SNJ will lift north. By the time it does, temps should be cold by then. Won't be till much later though. 00z nam was saying after midnight

whats the axis of the precip when it gets to the area. The southern part of that precip is moving east

Yes, hence why temps are beginning to drop (850's). My only concern right now is the precip around DC and eastern PA dies itself out before it get here.

6ABC Philadelphia just said that this thing is filling in much further back than expected......saying the snow is now expected to last almost until dawn around these areas beginning around 10-11 PM tonight.

Insane amount of thundersnow/sleet here in Carmel NY! 2 strikes of lightning and 3 long/loud rumbles of thunder! Thats insane! I've now seen thundersleet twice in my lifetime and both have been from storms this year!

I've probably seen thunder snows a dozen times in my life, but never thunder sleet until this year. Very strange.
