i don't think we should get to excited yet. today could be sloppy. snow sleet rain. all depends on when where this bombs out tonite. nws has me all snow during day 4-6 inches. i not sure about that!

back to light snow. flakes are fine. snow seems dry. that is a good sign.temp 30. getting close to an inch.

Currently right now in Staten Island,moderate snowfall but just making everything wet as it hits the ground,if it was colder right now..boy oh boy

just had some sleet mix in. back to snow. the inch i had is melting fast with the sun.

When i looked out at 8am in Staten Island we had a coating on grass and sidewalks..it's been all washed away since even though its been mostly a mix ground warmed up quite a bit

had about an inch of sleet and ice on the ground throughout the day..snow is picking up now and so is the wind..much colder and pressure dropping further

i have four inches on the ground in mt. vernon. had an inch that melted this morning. snowing really good now. nws has me at 14. we'll see. radar looking good!

Was at 13-14" as of 7:30pm Rocky Point North Shore Suffolk County LI...Check out the deformation band over Central and western suffolk...rediculous rates right now with occasional change over to sleet. It pelts the house for like 5mins then goes quiet again. Zoom in 4 times top left of the page
