OTI was created with the approval of Frank for outcasts and misfits of the Board.The OTI citizens were wreaking havoc on the Mainland posts and we were banished and isolated here so the Mainlanders could keep the madness contained.

As such,I being a founding citizen, have assumed the role of Director of Parliament to run governmental departments smoothly and efficiently.CP is Grand High Exalted Mystic Ruler and Treasury Director, who, with Queen Snow, make quite a dashing and sophisticated couple as they travel around the Island attending to business.

If you  ever have time and want to know more, I suggest you start with post number one on this thread.There is enough material in this thread for an entire Psychiatrist's convention.

Drop us a line now and then or consult CP for a Tourist VisA!

Taffy has studied our history better than any of our naturalized citizens. After studying the twenty odd pages of the history of OTI she is a good person to consult with regarding any questions. Just a heads up for SYOS.

Now that we have that awful group of words and phrases out of the way, I would like to take the opposite tack and list the words and phrases we snowlovers love to hear.OTI Publishing will get on the ball after all these are collected.

1-Miller A

2-Temps falling through the 20's with heavy snow

3-Abundant Gulf moisture

4-Blowing and drifting with blizzard conditions

5-Red blizzard color on NOAA map of our area

6-Right over the benchmark

7-Forecast of 1 to 3 inches two days before then red blizzard color the day of the storm (Dec 2010)

8-Temps remaining below 25 for a week after the snowsorm

How about.......Special weather statement from upton NY......"radar returns continue to indicate heavy snow moving into the area.  For the next several hours expect intense snow rates of 2-4" per hour and gusty winds with potential for thundersnow.  These bands could linger a little longer over Long Island    as they continue to intensify and move offshore"

It has been requested by the Mainland Authorities to locate immediately one rb whose meteorological input concerning SOI fluctuations is needed immediately.We have no composite photos such as you would find in Mainland Post Offices with a front and side view, but we do know he is a young man and has moved from the Lake Wallenpaupack region of PA to Northern Westchester NY area.If you happen to view this urgent request, rb, please report to the Long Range area of the Mainland Authorities as your expertise in weather phenomena is sorely needed.Should anybody on OTI find rb slumming here, please report to me Docstox or CP,Grand High Exalted Mystic Ruler.Perhaps rb just needed a break here on OTI.

As far as Snowman goes, I am sure he is somewhere on the outer reaches of OTI and will report in as soon as the SOI rises in the 30 day mean due to a mouse farting in Tahiti causing a rapidly rising vector of easterly wind and a massive pattern change resulting in a blizzard on the Mainland.

OTI Parliament is in session today.First on the agenda will be a discussion on allocating funds for setting up cooling centers on the Island due to the unrelenting Super El Nino sending Fall temperatures skyrocketing on the Mainland.Projections for December now look to continue this trend.

Our travel center office on the Mainland is reporting the first signs of disconsolate disappointment of snow lovers and are preparing to adjust the events planned on OTI should said snow lovers decide to visit us and forget the situation on the Mainland.Fake snow is being discussed.

These are the times that try mens souls Doc, and women too I might add.

One look at any two week forecast and you might think we're entering the late April early May time period.

I suggest we budget for several psychiatrists on the Island to deal with people like myself who are being driven to near madness by the aforementioned Super El Nino.

With the soon to be massive influx of disgruntled Mainland Snow Lovers due to the "Hell Nino" conditions there, we at the OTI Bureau of Tourist Management with co-operation of the OTI Bureau of Alcohol Management wish to make their stay a pleasant one.We have recently published a pamphlet to help our tourist avoid the more seedy drinking establishments know as "Dive Bars" Here are 10 signs that you are in a Dive Bar:

1)The songs in the jukebox are decades old and it plays either too loud or so soft you can't hear it.

2) If there is a pool table, the cues are all warped and the tips are worn off.The space in the place is so small you have to hold the cue at an 80 degree angle to make half the shots.

3)The bartender drinks behind the bar, can outdrink anybody there, and has been an alcoholic for decades.

4)Several regulars show up in bicycles as they have lost their licenses to DWI's.

5)Slim Jims and Potato Chips are the dinner menu.

Great song Doc. How about an OTI board group trip to the Cascades where they're expecting 10-20 FEET of snow this week.

Before I die I want to go there and the Tug Hill with CP and any other board members.To see 33 to 39 inches of snow fall a day after 24 to 28 must be just incredible!!!
