different for different regions of the US but for most of us here 6"+ snow is a warning.
They can deviate from that though based on other factors like ice..

Lol doc. I also bought Cp's as well as many others. Those penny stocks sky rocketed then split once we reached avg snowfall for the season and have continued to rise with each nickel and dime storm. Now that we are above avg I will sell off my shares and retire. Sorry. Banter.
The December Prognosticator went bankrupt two storms ago. Filing chapter 11 tomorrow, the stock is worthless.
Yep, wipe your arse with it.
LMAO DOC - That (Dec stats prog) is as good as the Jets!!!

I measured 8.1" here and my brother submitted it to NOAA so it's on the list the Frank posted.

What a disappointment. I got a trace of snow and that all fell before the sun came up. Very frustrating when about 25 miles south in white plains they got 7 inches. I was really hoping for a nice end of year storm to make a large snow pack before the melt coming. At least i still have a chance until April to get my one big one this season.

Jackpotted again here on this storm Ace got us at 9.5 inches that's at least what I see. some surrounding towns got 10.0 so we did great. That puts us over 40 inches for the season so far way above our average once again for the season. With the way these past couple years been I do have to say the mid atlantic area and coastal nj has seen its fair share of winter weather and tropical weather.

Odd the way western Essex is stuck in there with a WWA. I live on the eastern half of that dividing line and can literally see "western Essex" as I sit here. It's pretty much where the coastal plain meets the higher elevations, but I doubt the totals will be significantly different from eastern Essex to western Essex, and even to Morris.
I couldn't agree more. Too many schizophrenic forecasts under the current set up.
Well, I stand corrected. The WWA for western Essex and the WSW for eastern Essex turned out to be exactly right. 6+ for the coastal folks and under 6 for the higher elevations...

I would add my 6.5 in BLOOMFIELD.
Well done NWS!
