I'm still impressed with the radar goes all the way into Texas their is a lot of moisture to work with

Only three SREF members are actually portraying the current northern fringe of the precipitation shield correctly, and comparing reality to the mean, the mean is way too far south/slow

Very accurate radar app I have on my phone is showing snow literally half a mile NW of me in the mountains and I'm pouring rain here in this little valley. Big rain drops though. Radar shows the snow slowly creeping to the other side of the mountains.

Annoying lol.

just got home steady rain 40* lots of water every where. even when it changes to snow going to take awhile to acc. a lot going against us for high end totals. nam and rgem have no snow acc til after 9z 4am for most of area .we shall see.

This is going to be fun. Lots of precip to get through and the mid-level trough is still back toward the Midwest. Once it approaches the area, we should start seeing frontogenesis take precip into northern areas as well.

What's going to be really neat with this is that if you can get under a band, you will be beneath for a while because there is so much more training than there is progression.
