Don't hang your hat on that radar snow, those dark green bands are not even getting to the ground here and have not been for the last hour and a half.
Oddest thing I've ever seen.
That is odd. Never heard of that. I've seen radar show precip type poorly all the time but that is strange.

The best frontogenesis is shifting south. As the intense cold air works its way into our area, it also brings with it dry air. Radar is certainly deceiving right now. NW NJ to southern NY will be first, then it moves into most of NNJ and west NJ. Then NYC/LI. SNJ/coastal NJ will be in this for awhile.

Does this mean we're done?

Kudos to the NWS but I think they just got lucky with this low level dry air bombardment.
Oh God I need a drink.

Think NWS nailed us but are chasing up the totals S and E of us where they were low.

5" here in Syosset. 26 degrees. Radar looks like 5 to 6 hours of moderate to heavy moving towards NYC metro and LI still. Thinking I add at least another 4" to the total. Will probably end up + or- 9"!!

Reports out of EPA is that they were in a lull as well but it began snowing again. Don't lose hope yet, north people

I feel for Doc and Cp and the others. I thought for sure looking at the radar they would get 4 to 6". It's coming down nice here and I see a 50 mile long heavy band along rt. 80 in NJ moving right this way. That could add 2 to 3" in 2 hours!!

OK, Frank, I'll keep the ruler handy. We'll see.
Right now, no snow,26 degrees, 47% (humidity dropped a lot) and 29.97 rising.

Enjoy it, Jimmy.
I'll take the bust hit as long as Boston goes down with me.
No need to feel bad for us up here, we are sitting on over 65 inches all told this season, it's been great.

The dry air is coming from the north actuslly, so you guys may be done unfortunately. The jet streak must be pressing south.
