By the way winds are picking up. Gusts near 40. Direction is NNE not east. Colder solution?

Certainly will help funnel in some colder air from New England rather than warm marine air.

This may be a stupid question but here on coast winds have busted to 60mph is it going to get worse later on or is this it's worse?

Good question. The 500mb low is still located over the Mid-Atlantic. If you notice the model image I posted, there is steady rain streaming into the area as late as 1am Tuesday and most models do not show rain shutting off until 8-10am tomorrow. To answer your question, the dry slot you see on current radar should fill in.

Upton: 46 mph wind gust at Central Park at 3:16 pm.
It will be interesting to see if some of those 55-60 mph gusts down on the Shore actually make it into the city.

What's more frustrating for me personally, is the fact that you look at every major level and it's below freezing, yet SOMEHOW it isn't between them. Like, wtf, Mother Nature???? Lol

Try buying a new snow blower and not getting any snow to test it in other than about 2 inches!

The highest winds will stop overnight sometime. However, tomorrow morning they'll still gust to 30mph at times. Then by the afternoon they should get calm again.

I've never been there. If the first week of February does not produce then I will need a Visa.

It's TRYING to snow here lol got some of the biggest freaking sleet pellets I've ever seen. But there are definitely ones falling at noticeably slower rates, so I wonder if we can cool enough to get it completely back to snow. I doubt it, but there's at least a little hope lol
