JMan sorry to say but you missed some good winds today. From when I woke up until about 4 pm they were ripping pretty good.

Rain and 33 in Flemington. Maybe a few heavier ice filled drops but pretty much just rain. And 33. Has anyone mentioned that this sucks?

If not I will.

On that HRRR future radar loop, The Aresian is under the heaviest snow returns for over 10 hours

Better than rain or freezing rain.

Strange how radar shows snow over me, but heavy rain is actually falling. Must be a shallow warm pocket down in the boundary layer.

Hey syo, I feel exactly the same way you do about the snow AND the wind, but I guess technically the winds verified at least the high end on jersey shore, we will see if it goes up tonight. That was mean earlier, a map to show you what you would have gotten if Frank had actually done that OMG LOL, yeah but not so funny really, all in good fun here

I gotta be honest. The winds here on Long Island have been really underwhelming so far. Maybe a gust or two over 40. Not mean it was funny. I can take it as well as I give it. No worries. Franks my boy or nephew

Yeah but I couldnt ditch seeing a friend havent seen in a few yrs for the chance to see wind, that here did not do any damage, I think you guys got the goods, not so much here.

Weird, hurricane force warning over waters of LI u would think some or alot of that would make it on land, glad to hear I am not only one who didnt see crazy winds, maybe frank is right though and as this intensifys we get a period of highest winds from 9-11pm to 6am when warning ends. It does state highest winds will be overnight.

For our experts. My question is will the sleet in southern dutchess ny continue or will it change to rain. From all i saw on here and the models my area was suppose to rain.

ahh right on water, sister in law lives there, i went to rye and was windy bout 4pm ish, but as soon got here dead calm, guess big diff when on water, which always is. Ill post some pics, not impressive to NJ prolly but if you know rye beach its usually crystal calm as its an inlet.

Skins, your family is about 20 miles north of me. I think it's going to be a sleet fest. for them. Some areas in orange county may see 2 to 4 inches of sleet they may be one of them. It doesn't look like there'll be much of a period If any where this will be snow.

The God honest truth is the models were so bad with this that it has a mind of its own. Put it this way...EURO had 1.50 inches of rain total for much of the area (even less in spots) and most are already there. And the EURO has highest verification stats at the 500mb level at least.

But to answer your question I think you'll remain mainly wintry with some rain mixing at times.
