Here in Albany, I had a bit of flurries earlier but otherwise a rain event. 37* here currently. Set to go down to the mid 20s tonight.

27* as the low. Very nice feel. Yesterday there were many locations on LI that saw some Long Island Sound effects snow bursts. My kids were very excited last night when I got home from work to ask me if I saw the snow. Unfort because I was trapped inside I did not, but it was really cute because they genuinely felt bad that I didnt get to see it and they did.

This is an interesting set up for teh 18th on with a split flow, don't know what to make of it as of now (storm from GOM up the coast possibility??)but we'll see as we get closer in time. Map is compliments of JH off twitter

Not buying into any storms this far out, when we are within 2 maybe 3 days I will get excited, I am no longer going to get my hopes up for anything like what was looking good for tomorrow is now nothing. I think scott would agree this is wise, temper expectations.

When using the mjo composites for mid November are we looking at SON composite or OND composite? I'm asking because with the mjo forecast to go into 8 1 and 2 through mid late November the Composites are entirely different

Record daily low temperature set for the day at Central Park (and the airports for that matter) at 11:25 PM(!!) lol. The 25°F reading beats the old record for November 12th of 26°F set back in 1926.

We should break the daily record low of 22°F for November 13th in a couple hours as well.
