Damian, I would only see black squirrels across the river where my wife's late parents lived in Tuckahoe. That's interesting they got over here.
When I had my little bass boat on the local lakes, you would be hearing acorns dropping off all over, some in the water. Some years, that is,LOL.

How much of a direct cooling effect will this have on weather here, if any?
Man, it's crazy to see video of other places during events like this and see how others look and live.

All this negative talk... I'm reaching for that white towel, and about to throw it in already .. might be my last winterish season. Might move out to Texas. Home and property prices are too good out there.

Scott I'm not throw in the towel but I'm putting my expectations at 0 snowfall for my area. I almost always fall in the snowhole anyways. It will in time - doesn't happen instantly but over the course of a couple of month these aerosols and dust particles will have a regional affect. Question is which region and that will have an upstream affect to the weather pattern.

Re: Banter Thread 5.0
Hope everybody had a nice Thanksgiving.
Ha. I will throw in the towel with the very clear expectation that I can sprint onto the field and pick it up any time, throw it back in, and repeat.
Hopefully its picked up many many times and is ruined and embarrassed to be a towel.

I feel like it's been years since a nice SWFE (overrunning event) over a dome of arctic air gave us a simplistic slam dunk 4-8" of snow. Anyone remember that kind of solution?

Absolutely Super Bowl Storm of 2014 in NJ(?) that if it was 4-5 hours sooner they would have played the 1st ever Super Bowl game in the snow was just that as a Low pressure formed along the frontal boundary and walloped us. I was on that for days and people were like its going to be 50* Sunday, its not going to snow! The next morning they woke up to 3" and puking snow!!

I love this title if you do not agree with the Climate Changers they call you a denier. No you just do not agree their viewpoint. It's like if yuo do not believe in Ghosts, or UFO, or anomalous natural events. Then if you do not agree with this man's view who is being appointed then you are...a ..Discriminatory View Monger. Isn't the climate and has it always been changing on our planet?? Answer is emphatically, undeniably yes and it always will, and science has proven this over the millions of years on this rock that is floating through space we call space ship... EARTH!
We are not dying in 7 or 12 years from this - we will be massively affected by the Sun's awakening and the gravitational changing of our universe, planetary alignments and magnetic pole reversal. This is what may do us bigly harm and major issues.

NYC as best I can tell has never had consecutive seasons with single digit snowfall. Anyone think that will be challenged this season? I say no way.

I would agree we have had no consecutive single digit snowfall seasons in NYC, but the late 90s had several winters of low double digit, well below average snow totals. Those were some painful years for snow lovers.
