“Punxsutawney Phil, the "Seer of Seers, Sage of Sages, Prognosticator of Prognosticators and Weather Prophet Extraordinary," has made his official forecast. The iconic groundhog emerged from his burrow shortly before 7:30 a.m. eastern time Tuesday and saw his shadow, which means he believes there will be six more weeks of winter.”

Oh no imagining, i thought same thing, i was thinking about making it fun and giving it some color but decided against it...anyways I am clad that i shoveled through the storm cuz the girl next to me oy, if my back wasn't blown i would have helped her. Its a one way street so when plow comes by he doesnt just bury the cars he BURY'S the cars. Since I shoveled I only had a small plow area to clean out and i just like everyone else do the bare minimum to get out cuz that spot is someone elses once I leave (street parking).GreyBeard wrote:Imagine if you will, trying to shovel a giant slushie. That's how I spent the last 3 hrs. Not the imagining, the shoveling.

Re: Banter Thread 6.0
May I be the first to congratulate our N & W friends on the overnight runs which once again appear to use the full sampling of data to indicate that Coastal Ocean IS THE MIX LINE.
The pattern is what it is. In what looks to be a rather memorable winter weather pattern "for most", the boundary tracks right along the edge of Pine Barrens through Ocean County, effectively eliminating anyone south of GSP Exit 83 or 90. More so this year, it's the TOMS RIVER itself that appears to be the snow/poo line. On a good day, I can hit it with a rock from my house (ok, that's not true, it's actually a mile or 2 away).
It's on me to learn to live to be happy with what I get- I do live about as far away from Rehobeth as I do from the LHV. But still, this place has a 100 year average of 15-20"/yr that has been pooped on for 3 straight years. The Shore experienced one region wide Jackpot of 6" or more in 2013, 2017 and 2018 (17-18"). We hung with the big dogs on regionwide jackpots too before (9" 2x in a week in Jan 14, 17-18" in Jan 16, 13" in Spring '18 storm). Also, it's worth noting that the Jersey Shore was really the BIG LOSER in Jan 15. We were forecast for 2-3 feet that night. OMFG! Anyway, the point is, that this is NOOOOOOOOT a snow hole!!! It's not. Well, except that NOW apparently it is.
So, Congrats N and W sections, and CNJ and Coastal Monmouth and inland Ocean and LI (south shore too!). Good times now and ahead for you all.
As for us down here, we get a sloppy 30% of what you all get on the front end, change to rain, and then a weak 30% of your back end. (As you can tell, the euphoria from our little front end kick the other night, crashed hard in the 30 hours of 850 warmth which basically morphed me into Gollum- and I'm still there at the moment.)
Rooting for myself doesn't work, so I'm going to root for you all to jackpot again in order to bring the jackpot my way. Towards Skins and Larry and Skidoo and Jurzee Devil and Smitty (he still around?) and I'm sure there's a few more names I ought to remember but don't. What are we talking about anyway 6, 8, 10" tops? OK, here goes:
N and W! N and W! N and W! N and W! N and W! LI too! N and W! N and W! N and W! N and W!

Bond Event Right Now”: All Of The Solar Cycles Are Coming Together
Published on August 8, 2016
Written by F. Guimaraes
We know too little about the Sun, despite all our efforts since the XVII century, but one thing is strikingly evident from all these studies, i.e., the cyclic nature of the solar radiation and its obvious, frozen mandirect influence on Earth’s climate, with scales from few years to many thousands of years.
It seems that these very cycles are telling us that the new Ice Age is coming.
“We are entering a Bond event right now, the 8th event since the Holocene climate optimum, all interglacial periods terminate on either the 7th or 8th event relative to the 5th eccentricity cycle. This is where we are heading right now…”
All of the cycles are coming together – see: www.thunderbolts.info
22yr Hale
179yr barycentric
1450yr Bond
23,000yr precession
25,800yr plane
100,000yr ice age (when all solar-planetary cycles converge as they are now)…”

Bermuda is only about a 2 hour flight from NC anyways right? Imagine if the Caribbean recorded that, haha.amugs wrote:Great stuff if you missed itCold! It will be January 1991 through December 2020. It's not posted anywhere yet that I've seen.
On a side note, I'm disappointed you don't already know that from the weather statistics thread. I guess you and 998 other registered users just don't bother reading it. I do have my core audience though, Sroc, docstox and billg thank you for your continued support.
