Nice! Reminds me of my mom's Sunday dinners. Haven't made a pot of sauce in a while with the kids hardly ever home... maybe next weekend!

Fantastic Frank! Enjoy! Cooking is so therapeutic for me. I have been making a chicken and a beef stock today. Next weekend I will be making soups with today's stocks as the base. The house smells so good.

The so called leader of our great Nation made a statement along the lines of:
If we had just addressed global warming sooner those people in KY would not have died. Obv this is a paraphrase but the freaking nerve of these politicians is insane.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE if you are reading this DO NOT listen to these politicians regarding the extent of climate change and take it as gospel. All they do is push their agenda. And please don't think that my statement means that I believe that humans dont contribute. Of course we do. But to not be allowed to discuss other, natural and cyclical causes is ludicrous. The climate involves so many different angles, but the extremists want you to believe the science is settled. Science is NEVER settled. Its merely our best guesses based on what we know now.
Same crap with COVID. Of course vaccines are effective, and are integral in keeping people safe but regarding Covid, to completely ignore promoting other things like effective treatment protocols that will prevent you from dying or getting seriously ill, or preventative measure that are proven to greatly reduce the risk of severe disease like Vit D, Zinc, exercise, and eating right, is only proof that there is a narrative out there bigger than just the greater good for all.
When was the last time you saw a commercial promoting talking to your DR about the benefits of taking Vit D and Zinc and the study's that show its marked correlation with preventing severe COVID disease as long as your levels are above a certain threshold. The last commercial was NEVER that's when. But I bet you saw at least 5-10 commercials yesterday promoting the importance of everyone being vaccinated while watching the football games yesterday. Keeping in mind that Vit D and Zinc are incredibly safe to take and you can almost never overdose, and there are countless well studied and documented other benefits of both supplements for various areas of the body and brain. So even if they dont work for Covid there is a lot of good from taking them AND they likely do help with covid. Whereas the full extent of the side effects of these novel vaccines are not fully known yet. But take it at all costs regardless if this latest variant is looking less severe, and the long term side effects are not understood yet, and your current risk factors for getting severely ill are statisctically less than that of an adverse side effect from the vaccine depending on what age group you're in, or what your natural immunity status is. And dont ever ask questions about it any of it...ever.
Man made climate change and vaccines are the only thing allowed to be discussed and never questioned with this current political party and media landscape or else you are lumped into some kind of extremist/radical/denier category.
Make no mistake about it, once they can no longer scare you with Covid, which is coming soon, there will be a concerted effort in the media to shift all your fears to the climate. Every extreme event, every storm, everything will be to scare you into thinking the world is ending tomorrow. Again I beg everyone to cont to take whats given from the main stream and the extreme left politicians with a grain of skepticism.
Focus your attention on what information they are trying to keep out of the discussion and that's where you will begin to find the real truth about what's really going on. We are supposed to question things; not just accept what someone else tells us is the truth.

Re: Banter Thread 6.0
When I confront the "climate change nazis" with the following, I have yet to receive a logical explanation:
Why is it where I sit right now typing this in the LHV of NY, at one time eons ago, I would be underwter. Then some time later, I would be staring up at 100 feet of ice......ALL before man even walked the earth.
My explanation is, the earth changes on it's own when it wants and nobody on Gods green earth will change that.
Agree with you on the vaccines. At my age,71, and medical condition( treated at Sloan Kettering in Montvale NJ for 8 months with chemo for Multiple Myeloma) I was forced to take it to enter the facility. If I was younger and healthier, NO WAY would I take this vaccine. It was rushed through without the usual 5 years of testing vaccines require. My wife ,almost 70 and in remission for bladder cancer, took the jabs too and she now suffers with dry, painful lips and woke up the other night with a terrible dry mouth with trouble breathing.NONE of that happened before the jabs.I have been lucky so far with no side effects, but my body has been pumped full of so much crap, if they take a blood test they will probably say "your chemicals are 5% blood".
My niece, age 60 and Great Niece, age 26 both got Covid and recovered very quickly and now have natural immunity, something this administration doesn't even mention in their Covid scams.

Now is it a lot of Torn warnings? Looks like a lot overall? There was an abnormal amount especially for our area yes BUT the overall as the chart I posted above the SROC addressed is telling that we have had a decline the last century overall so the carotenes are at it stirring the pot.

By my estimations 2026-27 we are down about 50% of Earth's protection shield at present rate of decline from galactic rays, solar flares, galactic dust, neutrons, protons, coronal mass ejections and anything else space wants to throw at us.
Not an if but when peeps.

Imagine hunkering in your basement and freight train sounds and demonic winds just ripped apart your home. You climb out of the rumble only to see what looks like Armageddon to your eyes. No water, food, communication with teh outside world, transportation (car is 3 miles away in a tree of a field destroyed) no where to eat, sleep - stone age existence. Would you be able to cope? Its a Darwin moment/time.
Just something my wife and I talked about as we sat with our gad fireplace on eating a delicious meatloaf and smash potatoes meal she cooked with a full fridge adn pantry then watched TV and texted with friends and family. Sandy did this to many but how soon we forget. AA = American Amnesia.
Here's an updated map of KY alone - still on the ground investigating.
