Very unlucky with this system. fresh injection of cold air system loaded with moisture digging into the Gulf And we end up with a mainly rain event for the metro area. If you look at any map on guidance at 7 PM tonight and tell me we weren't gonna score big with this system I would say you're crazy. 60* before our last 6" snowfall with a foot in Atlantic City To 9゚ for my low tonight and mainly rain from this next system. weather is definitely fascinating.

Goes to show how hard it is to get a Godzilla along the coast. A lot has to work out. Honestly I was feeling good about this one until about two days ago when I realized we lost our blocking, confluence and in part the AO let us down too. Luckily lots of winter left.

Re: Banter Thread 6.0
I know it’s one in a thousand at this point but if somehow this ended up being a big snow event north and west of the city then RB definitely has some kind of magical powers in addition to being a brilliant forecaster.

Unless the models are way off, and this tracks further east, it looks to be crap here. Snow to rain? Oh boy, SLOP!

Not going to be a big snow event in our neck of the woods as of this morning's NWS CP. If the back end proves stronger we could get a few additional inches on top of the slop pile they say we are getting,3 to 5 inches.Damian and Hyde will do a little better than us.This is a classic "areas N and W of the City" type storm that frequently hit this area in the 60's and 70's.Maybe a slight tick east can give us an inch or two more but time is running out now, almost nowcast.

Tonga tsunami, quite impressive that it propagated all the way to stations in the coast of Mexico (Manzanillo over 1.4m) and California... Here is a order one attempt to model this tsunami @geosmx #geoclaw pic.twitter.com/drzz5GMHJK
