This baroclinic zone is tucked right into the coast. These are usually trajectories for storm path. I think that's what NAM was hinting at with mixing on SE NJ coast.

Our local schools are closed tomorrow for a "real" snow day.

Remember we'll see more NW ticks and then a SE tick. Don't get upset since it happens with most storms.

With what model runs, this is coming in and starting in 6 hrs, i don't think models other than hrrr and rgem will mean anything, observation time now imo.

18Z Euro. The models don't know how to resolve the consolidation yet. But it's bringing surface and mid-level lows closer together. That is the wild card right now IMO. If they can consolidate closer to the coast then it's going to be another ball game.

Definitely sensed a change in tone from some of the pro mets today from this being sort of "nuisance" snow event this morning to it being a "disruptive" snow this evening. That reflects the models hinting at a more robust system then previously projected. For what it's worth, the storm overperformed today in TN region.

Radar impressive already.

We are open down here districts not remote and you are not allowed in the state of NJ to go remote for a snow day. We are delay as well..

Weird, but how is it a snow day if you are already remote is what I meant? I thought most schools were remote right now, we are. Thats what I meant, if your already remote a snow day does not make sense. Hopefully they go back Monday.

Delay here in edison for the schools tomorrow. I know kids are hoping for a snow day but thus far it is a delayed opening

I think delays because it is supposed to end by 10am ish.

Starting to think someone may see 8” out of this in SNJ into LI
