LOL, hilarious.
However, I am not surprised.Go to the NWS CONUS map and once again, as many times since Nov 1, all pink in the Central and North Central.I already sadly knew this pattern was set in early Nov. and it would take a lot to bust it.Here we are, 2 1/2 months later.Let's hope a favorble trend takes hold by the end of the month.

To be fair, I pretty much wrote this winter off early on when they said it was another La Nina year and a repeat of the last two. I barely even bother checking models anymore because of how many times they show something, I get excited only to get screwed as it gets closer. I just sit at the desk and play radio while I wait for spring to come. I am hoping for a repeat of 2012 when the grass was green and growing mid March. Hell, my crazy neighbor cut his grass on the 16th for some reason...

Life gives you lemons, you have to make lemonade out of or else you'll be sad, angry and depressed.
All this rain is helping fill up the reservoirs greatly around here.
NJWO group has a presentation from Dr. David Dilley of Global Weather Cycles and Oscillatoins 1st week of February. I let you kow what he says in his LR outlook.

Good point,Mugs, always good to go into the Summer season with the reservoirs full.
Plenty of time left to turn this around and get a good one! Snows up here until mid April, so I wait patiently.
Even in this dreadful winter, up here I had a good week and a half of snowpack before Christmas with cold temps, so that set the mood nicely for me.

Yes. So true about the rain. Very positive We were in drought conditions and lawns were brown
But all i want now is one decent storm (6 inch)
Anything is still possible.

You can use a moss killer, rake it out, and reseed.

After you spread the moss killer, it will turn black and come up. You could also kill 2 birds with one stone and dethatch the whole lawn as well.dkodgis wrote:Thanks. Lots to rake out

You know it's a horrible winter when Mikey P starts talking about mold killing and thatching in the last half of January.
Local station I listen to in my basement building my bucket list 8 foot by 14 foot HO Model Railroad ,is from Poukeepsie. They mention wet snow for Sunday!

Actually Mugs may if I talk about the solar cycle. But I bet no one would if I mentioned having 100 qsos today, most of which were on 12m FT8.

Re: Banter Thread 8.0
Mornin. In an attempt to divert your attention away from the snowless Wall season we are having I present you this. How many of you have ever heard of “The eye of the Sahara”? I certainly had not before this morning. I was cruising my you tube feed and I saw this guy on a Joe Rogan clip which pointed me in the direction of this guys documentary I’ve always been fascinated by the idea of the lost city of Atlantis, fact or fiction. But this guy presents a pretty strong argument here. Take a listen for yourself and form your own conclusions.
If you combine this with the time. Lines discussed in the Netflix series “Ancient Apocalypse”, which discusses the Younger Dryas period, you can really starting connecting dots. The history of human civilization as we understand is shifting. Pretty cool IMO

Giants sadly were blown out and did not stand a chance after that 1st half let alone 1st quarter. Not talented enough to overcome the Eagles plain n simple.

Weekly check in and no surprise that there will be not one but two rains storms. How will I make lemonade? It would be cool to see some t-storms on Wed if we see no snow. Plain rain and chilly is just awful, it actually puts me in the worst mood possible if I have to go out in it. You guys said we would see a change for the better for Jan in Dece. not putting stock in what is being said for Feb, Scott maybe we should have done that bet, normally the winter season (this is not winter) would produce soon or not at all. You also know its a strange year when people are having outdoor garage sales in Jan lol, I kid you not.

I was thinking something similar, mugs. I know I got a couple of inches yesterday and will likely get a few tomorrow, but if this is winter then I'd rather have a torch like we had several years back.
