OTI Weather observations
I may sleep out on the sand tonight. Hopefully the tide is going out and not in.
Note to anyone on the island, if I should be taken out to sea during my rem sleep tonight please find my body before it is taken out to deep waters and carried out so far that it eventually washes up on the Mainland. Even in death I have taken a vow never to set foot on the mainland again.

This is excellent and the OTI Bureau of Meteorology approves this.
No worries ,Director, we will bronze your body and set it up as a statue in front of Parliament Building with a plaque extolling the many accomplishments you have contributed to OTI.Don't think this will ever happen, because the evil spirits of climate change want former "winter" (a fading distant memory) lovers to suffer miserably in the Wall/Wing years to come. They won't allow you to escape with death.

The redacted copy of this at the OTI Sanitarium caring for those with snow addiction reads as follows;

We take great care at the Sanitarium in helping our patients fight the terrible addiction to snow and any mention of it could cause a relapse.

Some would suggest there is no difference. I'm heading down to the Coconut Lounge Sector where the weather is much nicer as is the musical entertainment.

0.8 inches there as of the 1:00 pm snow board tally.
WOW we may break an inch today, 8.8 inches now for the year.
Whenever any kind citizens of OTI see this post can you please copy and paste to the observations thread back on the mainland. I cannot go back on my vow of Mainland abstinence now that we are seeing results in only two days.

Visited sector 4 after Billgs report scared me off of walking through sector 3 this morning.
73 in sector 4 with the usual 15 mph trade winds. Will need a vote from Parliament to send a research team to sector 3 to study these claims of 183 degree temperature variations. I did walk to the edge of sector 4 and although the temperature did not change I did feel a chill up and down my spine. Probably Biilgs story just giving me the chills. I’m gullible that way.

Wintercoldandsnowareamyth, your self imposed exile from Mainland posting may have changed the upper atmosphere pressure gradients and wind patterns! From absolute misery on the Mainland to cautious optimism.Well done and stay in OTI!
As a highly esteemed founding member of OTI, you always have my approval for any venture that will help us here on OTI.By all means, examine these temperature variations in Sector 3.My feeling is that sector 3 may be on top of a developing volcano, we will call it Icrackedmytoea, and this may be a significant climatological event.
Stay safe.We do have asbestos suits available if you wish to venture further into sector 3.

When I returned later in the day (with my AC on as it was up to 120*) I looked in the field and saw this:
I’m not an Ornithologist, but something happened to that bird in that field.
We are currently looking at relocating the Hall of Justice to a new sector. I have taken all my classified documents home to my garage and bedroom closet while relocating.

Re: OTI Weather observations
Interestingly enough, earlier today one of the administrative tasks I had to do was activate a new account by this fine gentleman with the handle "WinterColdandSnowisamyth"
Not more than about 15-20mins ago he was seen walking about the mainland talking with some of the regulars about the weather.
He looks so familiar, but I just cant place it. Anyway about that Hendricks.....BTW anyone seen CP????

I know you’re busy with two possibilities for snow this week Doc but it’s always good to see you here. I really can’t concern myself with such inconsequential things as snow Doc, and as you know I have taken a vow of abstinence from the Mainland until November 1.
I did notice this new fellow has a Highland Mills address. If there is any snow to measure this week I’m hoping he’s good with a ruler. That simple instrument has been baffling to the people in Central Park for decades.

Even though I don’t venture there anymore I’m hearing reports from the mainland that it is 38° right now in my former home of Highland Mills and there’s light rain. My point-and-click weather app which showed 16 inches of snow coming to Highland Mills just 24 hours ago now shows 6 inches. I’m hoping by this time tomorrow it shows 0 inches.

Re: OTI Weather observations
There was one cumulus cloud about 2:00 PM that covered the sun for 87 seconds. I talked to our Director of Technology the ever elusive Math23X7 and he assured me that tomorrows program will include embedded code to make sure that doesn't happen again.
What a wonderful thing to live in the OTI cyber world, where you can program each days weather. I'm not sure why the Mainlanders never thought of this. They could make it snow and never stop, not that I would ever want that. No snow for me, can't stand the stuff.
Word from the Mainland is it is 35.2° in Highland Mills and a few flakes have begun mixing with the rain. I hope that brightens up their dreary lives.
Here's to hoping that fine young fellow from Yonkers sees 100 mph winds tonight that blow every car off his street so he has a place to park for the rest of his life. I wish them all contentment and peace and what they pursue in life, but how can any of them find it when they chase something that doesn't exist. Until they all acknowledge Winter is a myth and snowlessness is peace they will all live tortured, unfulfilled, disaffected lives.
If only they knew the POWER of the snowless side. Help them Docstox, you’re their only hope.
