Anniversary of Feb 11-12 1983 snowstorm

Tonight 32 years ago, I was watching snow fall in Mahwah NJ at the rate of 3 inches per hour for 6 hours straight, 6 PM to 12PM, never to be seen before or after.Absolutely no lulls at all.I remember Mr. G on TV freaking out over this storm (no internet or Weather Channel in those days) just my little NOOA cube radio.

And to think NYC would have to wait another 10 years for the next 10"+ snowstorm (March 1993). For some reason, my parents don't seem to remember the 1983 snowstorm, but it must have been a wild one.
