As Herman Melville once wrote for 5 cents a word "“...to the last I grapple with thee (winter) ; from hell's heart I stab at thee; for hate's sake I spit my last breath at thee.”"

I expect I will get a fruit basket or a deli platter from someone with the kind words on the card saying: "Dude, seriously. You are 70 years young. The weather beat you this time but with enough Jack Daniels, you will be back".

This post is amazingly erudite and heartfelt and be assured, disgruntled Mainland long range forecasters always have a haven here in OTI.Be of good cheer my good man, as even our beloved Emperor Frank has seen the futility of trying to present accurate long range Mainland forecast.You have come to the right place, the Coconut Lounge, to drown any long range forecast failure sorrow.At my advanced age (74 next Friday) the only long range forecast that concerns me is waking up tomorrow.
Now, as far as very early OTI immigration stats, we are seeing a slight rise from last year due to the extra mild and dry conditions on the Mainland.This bodes well for OTI and our crews are working 24/7 in all sectors in preparation.

OTI getting back to full operational status now!
Coconut Lounge fully stocked, Sanitarium fully staffed, all sectors inspected and rehabilitated!
Mainland approaching a Defcon Disappointment level of 1 at this stage with a possible snow event so it gives us a chance to get all staff fine tuned for the big show starting Dec through Mar.

EMS supplies have been ordered, so please keep an eye out for them. I will be stuck on the mainland for a little while yet tending to my local OEM duties, so let me know when the supplies arrive. I will plan a trip to sort everything out once I know they are there. Looks like we may need them sooner rather than later so hopefully I can get there soon. Hope everyone is well and ready for the season!

Thank you OTI Director of Emergency Services Janet! Always good to know your department is ready for any unfortunate accidents such as slipping on bananna peels.

I will contact the OTI Port Official and mention to be on the lookout for your supplies which I will immediately direct to the parking lot of the Coconut Lounge for safe storage until you can get back from your Mainland duties.We should be 100% operational by the end of this week thankfully with this possible snow threat in some Mainland areas.

Agree 100% esteemed Praetorian Guard to Emperor Frank ! We at OTI are magnanimous enough to forego record revenues this year in the hopes of a record breaking cold and snowy season for ALL Mainland areas.That magnanimousability is enabled by record financial surpluses of recent snow deprived years on the Mainland with consequential hordes of Mainlanders coming here.Let it be written....;let it be done.
