NE NJ down the shore through western Suffolk County LI right now 2-3” per hour and busts t9 near 50mph. This is insane.

Band hanging tough.I think I'm on the pivot here.Still heavy snow, howling wind.Looks like a 4 day weekend for the teachers and kids.The cold blast is next!More snow here for Monday.THIS is winter!!!!!

Yes it is Doc. I legitimately if this band sticks around 2 more hours will get to 20”. I’ll post some pics soon

While trying to avoid snow drifts, measured around 10" Steady accumulating snow continues. Snow drifts up to 2 ft.

Another heavy band forming in eastern NJ.

I will admit the winds impressed me. I did not expect it to be this windy. But when you have a rapidly intensifying cyclone off the cost (dropped 50mb in like 8 hours or something like that) then that should be expected.

I think a takeaway from this storm, and something a few of us (I know I did) Said in our posts is......IF A STORM IS BOMBING OUT WITH ARCTIC AIR IN PLACE AND TRACKING TO NEAR THE BM WE WILL get crushed. Period

Something to remember for next time.

Living in NYC this seems inaccurate. Go figure. We're now in between the two bands (the first that sat over NYC for several hours). This is the lightest I've seen it snow since I woke up this morning (about 6 AM).

Newbie here. I think I am more North West then most on here (at least for Jersey).I am in Highland Lakes, Nj .Snow has slowed to a trickle, wind kicking up nicely. Have about 4.75 on the ground

The Park had 7.8" at 1pm. I would think another 2"+ fell. We'll see at the next update
