we just got the call for 90 min delay...they want to be conservative...and they could have gone in today as well in hindsight...who knew?

Per me at 5:51pm:"We're under those bands here in Bayville and it's absolutely puking snow. Only have an inch and half on the ground but it's accumulating very rapidly now."
We're now at a legit 7"

NYC schools should be closed tomorrow
No reason to close today. If anything, they could of had an early dismissal.

Welcome to mine, mugs, CPs and docs and the other nw folks' world!
Janet, that is just pure evil, lol!
Well misery loves company.
At least you and Mugs have picked up 4-5 inches Janet, we're still sitting at 0 for the day up here despite the dark green echos all day.
I'm trying to pretend the snow I have on the ground is from today, it's not working.

LOL, yes, CP, I was going to call out Janet crying with a loaf of bread under her arm with those 5 inches!!! Lee Goldberg nailed it for our area last night. He said he didn't see the heavy bands getting anywhere near up here at all.Hated to see those models early today just pulling everything S and E of us.Oh well,LOL.

Up to 5 inches.
Seems to be sticking better on the road now that the sun is gone.
I doubt I’ll go out and measure again tonight.

Frank, do you think any of those heavier bands make their way into Essex county, NJ or has the storm started to pull away from the coast and the precip shield slowly shrinking with it.

My area is clearly dying out on that radar there, I doubt I make it to 10 but we shall see, I need at least 5 more to get to 10.Frank_Wx wrote:Long Island's turn

Man, Westchester just can't escape that subsidence. It doesn't look like it's gonna pivot further north either. Where's RB to talk me off the ledge!?

Frank, do you think those band in Long Island will come slightly north and west? I'm located in Nutley, NJ. It looks like another subsidence is developing north of the band.
