Looking at the radar... at this point as of 11:20 am, take whatever you have outside and add about 2-5” of snow in the next few hours. A dry slot looks to be approaching from the south. At that point, what happens next? Probably some sleet starts to mix in and possibly change to some showers especially east end and south shore Suffolk. IF the storm doesn’t push any further north, then the snow will continue all through the afternoon and night (but not many models are showing that). I would say get out there and do some shoveling after lunch before we possibly get into some mixing. Then we will keep an eye on the back end of the storm as the winds change direction and bring us some more snow at the end of the storm heading into tomorrow. -Glen
Alex- You buying that push of warmer air?
East of the william floyd, might have an issue with the coastal front. West of there, there could be drizzle when the dry slot comes through, but damage done already
Ha, I'm right off exit 70 on the expressway, battleground.

Unbelievable whiteout. Rivals Boxing Day blizzard right now (I was in the NYC area for that one). Never thought I'd say that.

yup, i remember we were driving home from VT, i remember day b4 no one knew it was go be a big storm, came outta nowhere (well not out of nowhere but it was not expected). I agree whoever said this isnt blizzard criteria, I think they should have issued blizzard warnings. A lot of people are still on the roads.heehaw453 wrote:Unbelievable whiteout. Frank getting pummeled by the eastern end of that band, nice placement of things on ur ideas, you were spot on and in general I think your snow map verifies for all low end of ur scale or high it still verifies then.Frank_Wx wrote:
