Windy looks like a comprehensive weather app. I got it off the ios app store. I read about it in a BBC article. I am playing around with it. I am a bit surprised at its layout and content. I changed to my location in settings and so far so good. It has a premium upgrade. 7-day free trial. Premium is $19. Details here: https://www.windy.com/subscription

Looks like very detailed weather maps, one-hour forecast steps for anywhere world-wide, 1 hour to 10 day forecasts, 12 hour loops, a year’s worth of archival satellite imagery, a wave and tides view, weather alerts and info on stocks for Doc and when Frank and the missus will start a family of future forecasters. If anyone tries the app out, I would be interested in hearing your take. Oh yes. It has detailed wind maps too. If people are fishing or traveling on a cruise or if there is dangerous weather around the bend, this app with its details, notifications, and warnings may be the next tool in a weather weenie’s arsenal

Windy is really useful for any kind of surface and wind analysis on land or sea. Gives a nice global presentation of the analysis too. Also web cams set up globally for actual observations.

I haven't used the premium package as the free stuff is enough for me, but I definitely use it a lot.

With the bigger body of waters on coastal states, it's becoming harder for this area to see any snow in December with the waters being so warm due to longer summers. It really does take a perfect combination.
