Yesterday, when I went to vote at our local church, my neighbor pulled up next to me and we chatted but he said what I feel: "I'm always cold anymore. I feel the cold more." and this is so true. So I do not trust myself to gauge Nov so far but some days have felt cooler than I would expect. Yes, there were a few beautiful days but my mind is adding up 2+2 and getting 5 (it will be a real cold and snowy winter).
It will be interesting to see which camp (warmer than usual/colder than usual) will be the right one. Myself, I think it is a cooler Nov and this teases me into a colder Dec and so on but I know it has been warmer than ever every year here lately. All I know is even with the heat on last nice, I felt like a block of ice in bed, like I had just been pulled off of the ice truck for the ice box.
At least for the last week Damian the weather has been cooler than avg in your neck of the woods, so I think your old bones are spot on lol.

I agree as we age the boiler inside us goes on the blink and people feel the cold more.

Re: Banter Thread 8.0
Morning Mom. I have been following this myself. Here is a great video from a guy who runs a you tube channel exclusively dedicated to monitoring volcanic and seismic(as these two are often intimately linked) activity around the globe. It also takes out the nonsense and hype that often if not always comes with reporting from legacy media outlets.
Give this guys channel a look. Pardon his voice as it is about as stereo typically corny as it comes, but I have learned a ton from him.

Yes but that reduction is primarily focused in the southern hemisphere over the southern Atlantic; extending into South America. So question is are we truly headed towards our full reversal or one of the many wobbles that occur? Even the wobbles and weakening, even if not a full on reversal can be quite problematic as discussed in the video, but not necessarily catastrophic. Check the video out Mugs. I know you know a lot about what you may here in the video already as we both follow similar sources that discuss some of this.

Campi Flegri in Italy as well as Cascadian Volcanoes of Hood, Washington, St.Helens are all ones to watch as well. Any of those go bigly again the effects will be felt quickly (a few months) weather wise. It's no longer a matter of if but when. Same holds true for EQ's. Big ones are going to happen on a grand magnitude scale.
I saw something the other day about the Campi volcano..I know nothing about all of this..so find it fascinating

Before my time but have heard how devastating it was for the country as a whole from my parents. Watched the funeral procession footage and it tells you lot of what the nation was going through. Also, often wondered how his wife ostensibly held it together during that time. Unspeakable tragedy on so many levels.docstox12 wrote:Today 60 years ago, Nov.22,1963, President John Kennedy was murdered in Dallas.I was in the 7th grade and the announcement came in at 2:30 and we were let out early.Ran home to turn on the tv and he was still not pronounced but that came 15 minutes later. My Mom and I watched Oswald get shot on live tv a few days later. The old heads here will remember this day like the youngsters remember 9-11.This country has never been the same since JFK got shot.

It was the day when people started losing their trust and faith in our government, especially the year after ,when the Warren Report came out giving the official government response of the assassination.I have read books and studied the assassination hundreds of hours but won't go into that here.
Jackie Kennedy was a beautiful and classy first lady and carried herself with dignity those awful days.

The last time Baltimore (BWI) had a High Temp below 40, was on Feb 25th (38). The Normal High in the "Dead of Winter" (Mid Jan) is 43. Today we will likely stay in the 30s, with wind chills in the 20s! Passing Snow Showers as well... #Brrrr #MdWx #BabySnowTrain pic.twitter.com/XbFPi9SPWk
