4:10 in am, snowing heavy flakes, cars covered pretty good sticking to grass not roads, 32 degrees!

At least five, maybe six inches up here, and no, Scott, I’m not kidding this time. We changed way earlier than expected, and I can’t understand why. Every critical thickness and thermal analysis of the column that I can find was nowhere near cold enough to support snow as early as 0430z. Not a happy camper to have busted this badly.

Good luck...no where near temps to get any flakes. But weather did change from the balmy 60*into late yesterday and now 39* i forgot to check the rain gauge..will update later. Just let dog out but too early to be up...lol

Just stuck 5.5” on my truck bed and still snowing moderately, so we should get to 6” before all is said and done. Ground depth varies significantly, though, because it’s warm.

some slushy rain drops in the mix here in Middlesex county if that counts as almost snow, LOL. Been a rough few years so we need to take what we can get

Seems well elevated areas over achieved. Better than I expected south of BGH area that's for sure.

I know elevated areas of MD reporting 3"+.

I came up empty, but it's remarkable that this is 4 observed snow falls in past 12 days or so. Now what will that mean come May 1 IMBY? Maybe the third single digit snowfall in 5 year span. Not sure but it's remarkable to see it snow this frequently this early.

As the sun rises, here are a few pictures of the aftermath.

To heehaw’s point, one of our family friends has a little plowing business on the side. I’m in Greentown, elevation about 1800’ on average, and we have 5.5”. Down the mountain in Newfoundland, which is only a couple/three hundred feet lower, has near nothing according to our friend. So in the span of less than the length of a football field, accumulations drop from 5.5” to 1-2”. I’ve only ever seen that kind local variance a handful of times in my lifetime. So to those of us who actually put numbers out, we really didn’t bust that badly at all, except for the highest elevations.

NICE, rb, you jackpotted there!
Light snow here now, roofs and lawn getting covered.First accumulating snow of the season.Nice mood flakes after the soaker.

Elevation is amazing as rb points out.I am up in an area over 700 feet and down the "hill" near the old Red Apple Rest, it's always 2 or 3 inches less of snow then up here.Or we have ice in the trees and down there is nothing.

Fortunately no. Unfortunately though a buddy who lives nearby said his basement was flooding at 1am.

Good to see some board members get a coating to even a decent accumulation. When models started to trend toward the coastal idea, I had a feeling the interior portions of our region could benefit from that. Hope there was minimal flooding for everyone else!

A few flakes here starting around 7 am. Now it’s an hour later and it’s gone back to rain. No accumulation other than small pockets of unmeasurable slush on my deck.

yawn, non-event here, 1.52" of rain here, not much wind overnight either. I was up half the night worrying about flooding and nada. We were forecast to get 2-3" of rain late even after the models were showing the heavy precip shifting east of NYC. Looks like wind is picking up now as we start to clear out.
