Wow, that shocks me. I figured you'd be twice that.
Me too, there was 30 inches just west and 28 just east of Doc.Guess if you don't get the band, that's what happened. We lucked out CP with that morning band but when the storm pivoted, we lost it.
Anyway Monroe NY South Hudson Vally 13 inches. Average of three areas last evening, lot's of drifting.Hope this is right plus or minus one I guess.

My parents house 8 miles to my west got just under 2ft. I sat for hrs at a time yesterday with heavy bands to my north and south. Early on the heavy bands were lined up SE to NW. I was just north of that. Later when the pivot occurred the bands then oriented SW to NE. Again for a time I was just out of the heaviest bands. I got into them at times but they trained over LI west of me. My buddy in Haupage got just under 30. Frustrating. I'm not going to complain though.

Re: Blizzard of 2016 Final Snow Totals
There was just no way to measure effectively when I went out there late this morning. Last official report was 27.4" at 6 p.m. last night which was consistent with my measurements during the day. It continued snowing for 2 or 3 hours after that. Since that measurement was exactly the same at Cranford at that time and we probably got about the same amount of additional snowfall between 6 and end time, I'll steal Frank's number and say 29.6".

I was surprised I only had 18. I didn't measure till this morning so they may hav been some settling.

If you don't do the every 6 hour thing and then clear the space your totals will always be low. I'm sure 95% of people don't so you're not alone.

25" in West Orange closer to Newark, but I've seen reports from a low of 18" to a high 26" here. We do have a mountain that splits the town in half, so that's to be expected.

32" Belle Mead, NJ, Driving to work I go through Hillsborough just to my north and it seems they have significantly less than my area which is to the southwest. My road is still snow covered and terrible to drive on. Never seen conditions so bad days after a storm, what an amazing event. Too bad we have such warm weather and parts of SNJ suffered extreme flooding. Christie was dead wrong to downplay this event.

He is an idiot, typical politician - the coastal flooding is not going to be that bad - meanwhile Sea Isle City, Ocean City etc have 3-4 of surge - he was comparing to Sandy - how can you compare a massive hybrid Nor"easter/tropical system to a powerful Nor"easter period.
My friend in Hillsborough said he had 8' drifts on the ne side of his house!

Yes there Wildwood, Vetnor, Margate, Atlantic City - mostly Cape May county and Atlantic due to the fact the storm stalled off the Del Marva/Md coastline and that was teh ground zero yu can say above teh SLP that piled teh water up - not to take away from other areas but this area seemed to be teh hardest hit of the NJ coastline.
Again the fat bufoon is comparing it to Sandy which made landfall - can't compare them - typical PC BS.

Yes Cape May county got it worse than Sandy, mostly due to the fact that this storm stalled in a position that pushed a lot of water and high winds (north easterly) into that area meanwhile as Sandy approached and the worst flooding occured in the ACY and north shores those areas had the strong easterly flow (as did we inland north of storms path) meanwhile south (of ACY) had a westerly flow keeping the worst of the flooding at bay and actually sucking some of the inital floodwaters out at and after landfall.

Re: Blizzard of 2016 Final Snow Totals
I will say (although for the shores sake, its a VERY good thing) that I wasnt overall very impressed with the winds in my area from this storm. Overall was sustained probably 10-25mph gusts in the 30s to 40s but I was expecting more like a peak sustained in the 30s and gusts to 60 from what the models were outputting. However they often overdue wind so its not surprising. Sandy was the truly impressive wind event with sustained winds in the 40-50mph+ range and hit max gusts in the 80s as I recall. Truly amazing. Would NOT have wanted to lose power for 7 days in a storm like that winter version with these temps though. That would be a disaster.
