My condolences to you Mwilli5783. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I lost my Dad in 2008 and my older Brother in 2013 so I'm the only member of my family left. As I've said to my wife I've never felt so alone in my life. But as my Dad always said when one of our family members past away " Life goes on ". So keep moving forward because that's what the person that passed would want us to do. Again my condolences to you and your family.

On the chance that someone here was out looking at the sky, anyone see that long burn meteor just now? 8:57pm or so, southern sky. Longest shooting star I've ever seen. Basically went east to west almost horizontal. I swear I heard a slight crackling. Duration was at least twice the distance between Orion's legs twice, possible more. The burn ended just below Orion's belt, so that's why the reference. Wow!

I know that all of the talk has been surrounding the potential of the first two weeks of March, but for my neck of the woods I'm throwing in the towel and waving the white flag. It would take a Frankzilla to make this winter anything other than a complete bust. I'll be cheering for you guys to cash in, but around here even a Godzilla at this stage wouldn't make this winter anything more than a letter grade higher than that God awful torch from a few years back.

Did some chainsaw work today and have some more to do tomorrow as well. Mower is ready to go after I put blades on it, since I just sharpened them, and tomorrow I’ll do the zero turn blades. Got to get battery on that one and move it from the winter storage spot soon as well.

Then you can get the snowblower ready! geek

I can't speak for your area, but around here there are store rushes if the storm gets enough hype. My mom gets nervous about storms so she likes to have milk, bread and eggs on hand and I tell her that she could make enough french toast to get through zombie apocalypse.

I don't understand that. Even in the worse storms that I've been in which was January 1996 and February 25 2010 which both saw three feet of snow I was able to get to the stores the next day. People really can't do without milk, bread and eggs at worst case for 24 hours?

I tend to rush to the store for beer. Not because I'm afraid of being trapped for long. Because I enjoy getting drunk during storms.

Are you suggesting that I "duh" my 81 year old mother? That'll make an interesting conversation the next time a potential snowstorm is talked about.

.February dead and buried. one of the most disappointing winter months in my memory. After all the hype on this site coming out of January! . Now we enter March looking st a powerful RAINY nor’easter. Yeah! Let’s hope this huge block produces SOMETHING cause right now it looks to produce by prolonging the wind and rain

This one's on me. I typed it out as it sounded in my head forgetting that vocal inflection doesn't show in type. I should have used an emoji or /s to indicate that it was an attempt at humor. I'll be more careful next time. My apologies.
