I just shoveled. We had about 5.5" here and it was a dry snow as it was about 22 degrees through most of the storm, but I have to tell you, it was still heavy. It was while shoveling that I remembered there are, minor, benefits to being in the more moderate zone of the storm. Still good snows, but less shoveling.

I've back to heavy snow in the pass half hour Big Flakes There is one more thing for me that made this storm special is it came during the daylight hours!

Dang, we folks here in Essex County need to get some spotters. Not one report.

I was scheduled to go to spotter certification two years ago but had to cancel. I'll try again soon, I swear!

My goal is to get 8 inches, which means I do maximum customers but not have th extra work from anything more.

Those totals for ocean county are not even close Toms River you could easily double.

What's your final total mikey? I have co-workers out your way so I'm just curious.

that one band off the Jersey coast is filling in....maybe get one last shot of moderate snow to come across long island if it holds together

7.5 inch storm total. 19.6 for the season, a good start.

The short range models did well up here, the others get a D-.

Taking a break from shoveling it's not too easy to measure because of the snow drifts .it went from a dusting bto 3 feet I think we ended up with 10 inches

wow i love snow ...but shoveling sucks...that not usually my department...lol...we have probably a foot..right now it feels like 12 feet.... affraid

..came in for a drink of water...stopped snowing but wind picked up...School cancelled here....

I am calling 12 inches...it was hard to measure..but the car and other spot seemed the most consistent with that number and my friend's husband away from the water in town.. said he measured 12...that's my number and I am sticking to it....lol...Husband and son finishing up... its the warmest its been all day right now at 26*....when are the temps supposed to plummet?

Got 8 in Hyde Park and still snowing lightly. 18 for the season so far. Glad to see some people got crushed and us HV guys did so well.
