12/16-12/17 Godzilla: Final Snow Map & Obsevations

Light snow just starting Southwest Suffolk county LI

At this point, it's that dry slot that's bothering me the most. Let's get that out of here, shall we? Everything else seems very positive. It's nowcast time!

Deer Park Long Island: Lightly snowing 31.4 degrees DP 23.7

First flakes now falling in midtown Manhattan.

31° cloudy winds are definitely picking up I am excited for the storm and I am ready if I get nine or 10 inches of snow I will be happy

Just started snowing here in Bellerose.

Snowing moderately in Flemington NJ. Temp=27 degrees. Not sure if we go to sleet or not, have to just wait and see at this point.

18z NAM gave my area a huge boost over the 12z run. Not sure that it means much, but it's exciting all the same.

Just started here in lower Westchester

It has begun here in melville, LI

24.5/23 moderate to heavy snow.

I'm getting wind gusts of 35 mph. At least 1.5 inches OTG

So far so good.

Light snow started in Commack LI within the past 5 minutes

Cars,grassy surfaces, and dirt areas are covered by my job.

Snowing in Midtown/LIC, and the wind has picked up considerably. Fine flakes are flyin!

Radar is lit up over Maryland and Virginia right now; heavy stuff in-coming.

Moderate bands should be into NNJ NYC by about 5

Latest HRRR sleets up to hartford, ct but it's nowcast time so im going to just let it play out.

28 degrees and the first fine flakes of snow falling in Clifton

Against its own future radar guidance, the r/s line on twc app has gone SOUTH from S Monmouth Cty (Belmar- I-195, GSP EXIT 100) to N Ocean Cty (Bricktown/Pt Pleasant, exit 91), in the past 2 hrs!

No idea what that means over the next 2-10 hrs for me or for anyone else actually, but that’s better than it going in the other direction.

Zilch. Not even enough to wet the sidewalks or show up on grass.

Steady snow started around 3:15. Within minutes it’s coated all surfaces, and every now and then it looks like it’s blowing sideways.

I do believe my son will be calling out from work tonight. Last thing he needs is to get to work at 9 pm and not be able to get home tomorrow morning because light rail probably won’t be running.

Dropped to 27* with light to moderate snow here. Wind chill 16*. One thing about snowstorms that hit in the late afternoon in December, it gets dark quick. I feel like sunset has come an hour early here.

That dreaded Sleet always got to me when I used to live in Hopewell Jct, think I will miss that this time, up to Hartford that would surprise me if it got that far north!
