Very close. And when it arrives, looks like it will be madonne worthy rates
Tough dry air is indicative of the stubborn cold air not wanting to leave maybe

The pingers are past Allentown PA. The warm tongue is pretty stout probably between 800-850 is above freezing.

I agree frank…thats the southeasterly cold air push i was referring to…hopefully it holds strong and cold air maintains its footage in this tug of war…down to 33.6 here in maspeth queens with light to moderate snow. Still only stickage on cars and cold surfs

This is accurate. Starting to mix with sleet/rain here and right on that line. Still 32* though.

Warm tongue probably between 800-850 but it's moving quickly and fairly powerful push. Also raised surface temp to 31.2. About 2" OTG. That is the most snow in one shot in 2 years so I'm not going to belly ache if that's it. I called 1-3" for EPA because of that concern.

In a moderate band of snow and starting to stick on sidewalks. Streets getting that pre stick glaze. With sun gone all surface stickage soon if this rate of snowfall continues. No mixing here

Re: JAN 6th-7th Storm Part II
Maspeth is approx 130’ elevation so it tends to stay a bit colder…as is most of the north shore of LI. And the mod to heavier snow bands have reached us…hopefully they reach you guys up north as well. Sidestreets getting white
