It’s a mix of light snow and sleet here. I think sleet is dominating here in Nutley now

Curious to know how ne pa did since it seemed like much of the day and evening theyve been dry slotted. Rb ill be a neighbor of yours in a lil over 5 yrs when i retire from city. Bought property in hawley ne of lake wally. About 30 mins ne of you. Will build and eventually be up there. How has it been up there tonight. It must be like an inch or two but it’s definitely not 7 inches here as RB predicted but it’s ok.

I can confirm it’s 1 inch. I just took a peek out there and it looks like a cold rain. Pretty pathetic storm if you ask me.

I’ve been quiet because I haven’t wanted to ruffle feathers, but I’m going on 5” up here so far.

If you haven’t done so already - would appreciate if everyone put their city, state in their bio. Helps with times like now with observations and understanding geographic impact. And then I’ll show up to your front door with a bottle of wine singing Italian folklores

Admittedly, this is shaping up to be a bad bust on my part, though, so I’m pretty salty about that. Yet another storm where the circulation is taking what would normally be a very good track for a lot of us, and we have almost nothing to show for it. I always learned that if you can accurately predict the track of the low, you can predict the impacts. Well so far I’m 2-0 on predicting the tracks, yet 0-2 on the season for impacts, and I don’t take too kindly to that.

I really thought we had it when things shifted last night on the modeling, but call it pride, stubbornness, hope, or just plain ignorance, or a combination thereof, whatever you choose, I was very wrong, and I apologize to you all for the poor performance.

We will see how it turns out after tomorrow, but I’ve taken some lessons away from this one, because I definitely don’t wanna get burned a third time (pun intended), nor burn you guys with bad information.

Give it time. The weather hasn’t adjusted to my new location - Jersey will be the snow capital of the Northeast before too long, you watch ahaha

Burned us? No way RB, you are one of the best forecasters I know of

I agree but I’ll enjoy every minute of it after last winter. Last year winter was terrible.

Central Park recorded .2" today. Last winter it took until February 1 for measurable snowfall. It's extremely unusual to see two years in a row where it takes at least January for that.
