Re: JAN 6th-7th Storm Part II
still raining and hard no flskesfor us here well north of that except a few towns are snowing others arent. Its a mystery. Doesnt seem like any other small area is reporting this change of snow otg or pouring rsin a mile away almost like swiss cheese the holes are snow and the cheese is heavy rain. You just cant make this up. And no we dont really have any elevation here.

It must be like an inch or two but it’s definitely not 7 inches here as RB predicted but it’s ok.

I can confirm it’s 1 inch. I just took a peek out there and it looks like a cold rain. Pretty pathetic storm if you ask me.toople wrote:It’s now just sleet here.

I really thought we had it when things shifted last night on the modeling, but call it pride, stubbornness, hope, or just plain ignorance, or a combination thereof, whatever you choose, I was very wrong, and I apologize to you all for the poor performance.
We will see how it turns out after tomorrow, but I’ve taken some lessons away from this one, because I definitely don’t wanna get burned a third time (pun intended), nor burn you guys with bad information.

Yet another storm where the circulation is taking what would normally be a very good track for a lot of us, and we have almost nothing to show for it. I always learned that if you can accurately predict the track of the low, you can predict the impacts. Well so far I’m 2-0 on predicting the tracks, yet 0-2 on the season for impacts, and I don’t take too kindly to that.

I agree but I’ll enjoy every minute of it after last winter. Last year winter was terrible.

No need for apologies. Your analysis is awesome. Mother nature doesn't always behave how we expect. That's the frustrating thing about this hobby
