Even after the sqall line passes? I thought that was the end of it but makes sense back end winds, I just heard the wind blowing on my windows.amugs wrote:Tree are friggin swaying like crazy ....another 4 hours of this. Winds roaring gusts over 30 mph and getting stronger and louder.

Rain is heavier, winds picking up, boys(son and nephew )are hilarious and have not stopped eating since I told them.they were not.going out tonight. Homemade muffins, popcorn, ice cream sundaes...and I just heard snack cabinet just open...had to throw the dog outside and show him I had his towel waiting... Just waiting for the squall line to pass...

Thanks everyone for your squall reports! Definitely looks like the brunt of it is across SNJ

I will take that for sure
That line looks like it's holding together. I'm curious to see if it makes it all the way across the state.
The bottom portion of the squall line entering south jersey looks juicier.

Just got home from Houston. What a wild ride. Left Hou at 3 central time. They didn’t take the normal route. when I got home I checked the 250 winds and they took a route up to Ohio then east. Got to Newark in record time of 3 hrs. The winds were gusting to 50 when landing . A guy next to me said a friend left the same time from Hou toLaguardia and they tried to land the plane 2 times and then they sent it to Boston. It was about 7 pm when this happened.

Sounds like that mini squall line just came through Hillsborough. About 5 minutes of real heavy rain and a stronger wind gust. That looks a bit like a bow echo moving through south jersey.

I never thought we would take off, the plane before me, was cancelled and the plane after me was cancelled. Found out later that one of the cancellations was from the 737 Max grounding.

You say this May bust like it's a bad thing? Damaging High winds, heavy rain and melting snow. What would be so bad if it did bust? Although from the sound outside and the look of the radar this is no bust, unfortunately.

Saw some green or yellow lights in the distance. But, saw on local FB page there have been some blown out transformers in our town.

That's my worst nightmare. I hate flying anyway but those bumpy wind swept flights make me never want to fly again, yet inevitably I always do.
Glad you're safe Bob.

To high, I hate the Fng wind. Surprised I still have power. Snow pack is taking a serious beating. I doubt it lasts till morning.

Glad you’re safe. Sounds frightening being on a plane in this weather.
