GFS has the CCB farther west, not that it matters much, NAM is further east, love how models are hundreds of miles apart down to the bitter end.

Remember Feb 8,2013 Blizzard? Rings a bell anyone - the NAM nailed it give or take 25 miles but common on it called the snowfall amounts!

I'm in a 2-3 inch per hour band now you may not have to wait till tonight, I'm only about 25 miles south of geographically.

Re: Archived: 2/13/14 Godzilla Storm
BTW I believe there are no blizzard warnings because there is no typical strong HP to the NW which causes a tight gradient and stronger winds. Sure it's getting a bit blustery around here but nowhere near what it would be with a 994 in the same location with a strong HP to the NW.

Cold air will win. No doubt.
No rain whatsoever. EURO last night was correct. All other models were too warm

It defys all logic, it's scary the misinformation the news media has put out on this storm and Bill who is a nice intelligent guy should know better of all people.

Re: Archived: 2/13/14 Godzilla Storm
I've noticed on some radars its looking like precip is back building in the dry slot. If that's the case, it would delay its arrival thus meaning higher snowfall totals.jimv45 wrote:Bernie on Accuweather said the dry slot will not make it to far north and said 20 inches in mid Hudson agree?

Re: Archived: 2/13/14 Godzilla Storm
I wonder if ocean effect develops additional bands to delay the dry slot. Just an observation
