Haven't measured in awhile. At least 14" I think. Still snowing, small flakes, with some type of harder frozen precip too. West orange.

Crazy difference between the north and south shore. 31 up here #35-67 at the south shore and east end.

Light rain/Sleet here, solid foot maybe more. Anyone got short range runs for the CCB? I'm still unsure about it as models are having a tough time with it.

Steady rain for over an hour, 8.4" before the changeover, compressed down to about 5". All of our accumulations might be completely erased if the rain doesn't stop, haha.

Re: Archived: 2/13/14 Godzilla Storm
If I had to guess it's 12-14" here already, lost my ruler somewhere so no official measurement, not sure what I did with it. On the brink of the lower end of my NWS forecast of 14-18". Even if the CCB doesn't play out still got what I was supposed to and did very well.

Re: Archived: 2/13/14 Godzilla Storm
Rain/sleet here in Midtown. Slushy, ugly mess outside. Same in Staten Island, for now.
Heard one of the guys here talking to his wofe at home - very perplexed that the "TV said we were getting just 3 inches then rain". He lives in Cherry Valley. People scoffed at me when I said this would be a bad storm - they prefer to listen to the TV Mets who took conservative to a whole new level.

The global models insist on just 2-4/3-5 inch type of snow tonight
The short range models insist on 6+
Hmmm

8.6 inches right now and most intense band of the day coming through right now, temperature up, and I use that term lightly, to 21.

I'm glad I didn't make a map I would have busted low. I really didn't see this coming. In my defense the models are still all over the place AS THE EVENT IS UNDERWAY, headache but a fun storm.

Re: Archived: 2/13/14 Godzilla Storm
Light rain now causing ice accretion on trees and power lines now. Temp dropped from 32 to 31. I thought temps would continue to rise, why are they dropping now?

Mugs I have about 10 right now do you think I could push 20+ here in southern westchester with tonights? If not we always have that wonderful storm coming less than 24 hours later saturday, wow what a winter!! Oh its 31 and raining now. I'm, not liking that its raining fairly steady. Hope that dry slot comes in soon.

OMFG!! I think I just pissed myself!! CP classic pure classic quote - Oh and on that note how about the Chancellor of NYC schools as she makes the statement from the warm confines of her home - that biag should be strung up next to that dumber than a stump mayor!
Mugs:
It's no secret my feelings toward comrade Deblasio, this is just another example to confirm them.
