Well this is disconcerting news after stepping off my flight home from the DR.

I will say: I said an ALOUD prayer while taking a leak in the bathroom flying over the southern jet (I was watching the navigation on the tv and made an educated guess) that we see this baby trend NORTH starting at 00z.

Is that accurate, even possibly so based on what we know at the moment? Central Jersey getting 2+ feet, or am I reading that wrong?

^The DGEX is not usually the model that you want by your side especially if it has no support, so in short, no. Its done this frequently and usually doesnt verify. Wouldn't count on 30"+ in NNJ no, Id say the chances for that are probably .1% now that the DGEX showed it, the ultimate jinx.

It's weird took me a sec they repeat colors but ya tgats 30 inches over north jersey and most else 20 to 30. Who uses the dgex?

The massive storm heading towards NYC part, theyre jinxing something far from set in stone, 18" has become far less likely instead they should have stuck to "Potential snowstorm this weekend, difficult forecast so stay tuned as details unfold" instead of fueling useless hype that could very likely be unwarranted if we end up with 3"...
