I got up at 3am, so technically i've been up for almost 6 hours. That's equivalent to having an afternoon drink if i already started sipping a rum and coke right lol?

I got up at the same time as you. And I say yes. This is like drinking at lunchtime, which is perfectly acceptable. Especially in the middle of Crack Storm 2017.

heavy sleet now, not as much snow mixing in now, wind has picked up as well. A sleet blizzard.

Yep, CP, like a switch was flipped at 8:30.Saw the same thing happen in February 1983. 6 to 8 hours of light snow then WHAM, 6 hours straight of 3 inche per hour rates withour letup.Here's hoping!!!

Snowing hard have to be around a foot if this keeps up into the evening like my forecast is saying will make my high end of 24  or so.

I may end up with 5" of sleet at this rate. And it is loud as anything. The sleet literally has knocked all the snow off the railing on my back stairs it came down so heavy.

of course that band has almost stopped pushing north. oh well.

Just measured 6 inches. Moderate snow/sleet. This storm reminds me a lot of March '93 superstorm.
