Re: January 4th Mothrazilla: Final Call & Observations
You are probably right because I’ve been waiting for that and (and others) to move west all morning and they’re just not making it here. Lol. I’m lucky though, I’m getting moderate bands and decent snow here and probably end up with a few inches (exactly what I expected so pretty happy with that). West of me theyve been in light snow most of the morning I think.algae888 wrote:The band that's been sitting over me for the last hour and a half looks like it's not moving West my feeling is it's just going to sit there and die out. Hopefully it lasts for a few more hours

Well to be fair I think he only threw it in four times in the last week.
JK too Jman, you are what makes this site what it is.
Shhhhhhhhhhhh, CP, if J man stops throwing in towels, there will be mass layoffs at the Bed Bath and Beyond stores!!! Have a heart, Man!
Approaching whiteout conditions now with these winds howling through the trees here. 19 degrees.

Just had our first power blink. Not long enough for the generator to kick on, but I’m sure it’s coming

You're caught between the bands over HV and NYC down to Jersey shore and eastern LI.
Not feeling bad for you guys though you've made out like bandits in this so far.
18.2 and just ripping.

Re: January 4th Mothrazilla: Final Call & Observations
I work in Springfield, NJ and live in West Orange. Have barely looked outside but was just wondering if Franks original forecast of 6-10 inches was still possible in this area. I know that the wind is really blowing around our building! Any feedback appreciated. Loving that I got the wake up call for no school for my kids at 5:15am. Seems like the main people posting today are NYC and east. Great storm for you all!

Just because it’s snowing doesn’t mean I should be subjected to watching this a**h*** DeBlasio on TV.

Re: January 4th Mothrazilla: Final Call & Observations
My take is Frank’s updated snow map last night was/is right on the money for everywhere. If anything amounts may be higher than the 15” in some eastern locales but everywhere else seems on pace.Fededle22 wrote:I work in Springfield, NJ and live in West Orange. Re: January 4th Mothrazilla: Final Call & Observations
The roads are so bad here the cops closed the major state highway (Route 10) by my house. And yet it is still Winter Weather Advisory here. I don’t like or understand the new advisory/warning criteria.
With the blowing and drifting it is literally impossible to tell how much snow has fallen. I’m guessing less than 6 inches, but that is a very bad storm out there. I don’t think “Advisory” adequately describes the conditions here.
