The same ones who have insisted on calling this coastal storm a “Bomb Cyclone” because they never heard the term bombogenesis in the 40 years we’ve been using it.syosnow94 wrote:Vinnydula wrote:https://mobile.twitter.com/ChrisGNBCBoston/status/948972255534567424?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Enews%7Ctwgr%5Etweet

NWS BOS
We appear to be near the record high water level in #Red Sox Suck. However, it is within a few tenths of an inch and this will need to be confirmed with the NOAA's National Ocean Service (NOS) @noaaocean before we can confirm or deny whether the record was tied or broken

I was trying to check flight status of incoming flights, one got diverted to Detroit, a few others in the air still scheduled to land. Probably closed airport to departures. If he does get in, he may not be able to get home!

Yeah I see that!! We were down to light snow in Deer Park but the band seems to be moving from west to east and we are now back into moderate snow. Hopefully those yellows make it here.

Re: January 4th Mothrazilla: Final Call & Observations
Snow has tapered to flurries here. Still blowing and drifting. Final tally will be between 5”-6” (unless I get another unexpected burst). I said the other day, and to Frank this morning, if I get 3-6” I’m happy with this one. I got the high end so count me happy!

Good eyeball measurement Doc, I just took the official and I measured 6.2 inches. Even if we don't get another inch, and I think we'll end up with 7-8, no complaints from me.
Still heavy snow but not as heavy as it was.
