Little red circle around NYC is area that may not accumulate due to Urban Heat Island
For those who missed my map this morning
I shouldn't even dignify this with a response, but I guess I just did.

00z NAM for tomorrow afternoon...looks like mostly sleet or even rain since the 850mb line is north of all the precip.

12km NAM by hr 25 has not even had any precip into the nyc or northern NJ yet. I would rather keep things dry than wet for when the snow starts, once its wet its even harder to accumulate.

0z NAM doesnt get anything from NYC north for the 1st wave. Which is okay, it would likely be ZR or rain anyway

I would be surprised if the NAM is not improved at the surface. Tighter H5 closed low, pressure gradients, and heights higher along the EC likely due to Wave 1 ending further south / weaker.

And the confluence weakened a bit and slid north a touch

I’m telling you Frank wave 1 is going to be a nuisance nothing that brings light mixed precipitation
To southern jersey. Then the left over energy phases in with our other two pieces and Wednesday we get bombogenesis just offshore tracking slowly to just east of the BM and we all get hit hard from Wednesday am they very early Thursday. Starting as a period of sleet.

Concerned some of it is sleet, but with those heavy rates, it should overcome it

850mb winds are ripping too, those heavier rates will bring "b" word conditions if not a all out for some areas along coast.
