Well. I haven’t seen anything on this NAM run to make me lower my numbers.

Do you feel this storm is being under modeled with all the energy that is coming together and the northern block. Is the storm still be depicted to stall on Wednesday.

Re: Winter's Finale: March 20th-21st Snowstorm
Lots and lots of sleet for those east of NYC. NYC even but not as much as LI.
But NAM is the warmest model so far. I think the convection could actually help cool the columns.

Winds are easterly on the NAM for the coast. That would yield sleet even if air temps are in the upper 20's.

NAM snow map but take with a grain of salt because this shows sleet as snow and many areas at the coast were sleet this run due to easterly winds

If the NAM verifies it’s hard to see anyone being too unhappy except maybe eastern 2/3 of LI because they’ll get so much sleet.

Does that mean most of that in and around NYC is sleet soonly a few inches?Frank_Wx wrote:Winds are easterly on the NAM for the coast. That would yield sleet even if air temps are in the upper 20's.

I think the precip shield may be depicted a bit too far west (or too heavy there at least) as this thing is going to bomb likely tightening up the precip closer to center.
