Click the image of the thing that looks like a floppy disc and a computer screen, immediately to the left of the blue square with the green and white “+” symbol. That will let you select images from your device, then click the blue and white arrow to upload. Once uploaded, click the chat bubble icon to the right of the middle image address, which will insert it into your response. Then submit your response. Hope that helps!

ya it has be something with temps but i think its finally snowing. Laying down now so will look later. I can hear cars driving and sounds soaked so even if it snowed hard the damage is done for sny sccumulation imo.rb924119 wrote:jmanley32 wrote:Im bad luck? Gee thx. Msybe i should move so i font ruin it for everyone. Theres no scientific answer? Al too snd lglick sll within sbout 3 to 4 miles of me. He asked what is going on. No this never happens if its snowing in nyc and arpund us we are snowing.rb924119 wrote:jmanley32 wrote:doesnt matter like us westchesters have been talking its pouring rain and 3 miles away no change in elevation a few inchs on ground...how?!!rb924119 wrote:Looks to me like it’s starting to pivot and kick east. I think you’re just bad luck, Jman. This seems to happen to you quite frequently :/
I was kidding, relax lol without actually being able to sit down and study it, I can’t answer. If I had to take a guess, I’d say it could be funneled air advecting in from Long Island Sound, which warmer, and mixing just enough air to the north and east of the City so that the column is just slightly above freezing in the lowest few hundred feet. And then deeper into the City it’s not as big an issue because the enhanced friction from the buildings helps to stop it. Just a guess though.

Based on radar and WV imagery, it looks to me that the low-level circulation is just east of Dover, DE.

Re: JAN 6th-7th Storm Part II
Surface low pressure is starting to take shape off the Delmarva. There is a dying primary that will give way to the new one. It's going to move close to the coast and then feel resistance which will elongate it. It will then move more easterly. It's not until it starts to pull away that the mid-levels will cool enough for snow for those that are mixing now. Probably tomorrow late morning.
For those N/W I think your best rates come 8 to midnight and then as the rates decrease it probably will mix. This is mostly WAA snow so that warm tongue will push.
Tomorrow as the storm gets it act together and pull away most folks will go back to snow from late morning to early-mid afternoon. I would not expect more than 1 or 2 inches from that.

And I wish this a lot more, but if not for the -NAO/50-50/High most would be still seeking their first measurable snowfall. Hopefully more to come in about week...

Re: JAN 6th-7th Storm Part II
28 moderate snow but barely an inch so far. Will be lucky to get 3-4 out of this.
Winter still doesn't exist and I'm good with that. Even if I did miraculously get the 8-12 they kept predicting it all gets washed away Tuesday. It kind of seems pointless.
The end of the month the seasons turn from Wall to Wing and another two months without what was once Winter continues.

It’s a mix of light snow and sleet here. I think sleet is dominating here in Nutley now

Re: JAN 6th-7th Storm Part II
still raining and hard no flskesfor us here well north of that except a few towns are snowing others arent. Its a mystery. Doesnt seem like any other small area is reporting this change of snow otg or pouring rsin a mile away almost like swiss cheese the holes are snow and the cheese is heavy rain. You just cant make this up. And no we dont really have any elevation here.
