No I'm still convinced we see a changeover and a lull, like I said use it to your advantage, dig out before round 2, but it is colder than I anticipated.
But there won't be the .5" or 1.0" rain totals they said for me to wash away all the snow right?

For those who haven't seen the SREF, look at that CCB.

No I don't think so, rain should be light NW of the current line.

Re: Archived: 2/13/14 Godzilla Storm
Still snowing hard, ice pellets mixing in but still accumulating. Hoping for no changeover, can't imagine shoveling this with rain on top of it. Will use dry slot if and when it happens to shovel out. Just can't figure out where to shovel it to, depth of this new snow is nearing height of previous snow mounds at edge of property. Opened my side door and the snow fell in.

I have low confidence in the CCB forecast, NAM backed to the north again, I think we will see some backend snow but models are still not in agreement in as to where or how much, we need to nowcast it. Right now I say addtl 2-4" is a safe bet.

CCB is not missing anyone. Additional 4-8 inches of snow expected tonight. I think.

Re: Archived: 2/13/14 Godzilla Storm
Storm is shifting, look at the bands, stalling.
http://radar.weather.gov/radar.php?product=N0R&rid=DIX&loop=yes
http://www.spc.noaa.gov/sfctest/new/viewsector.php?sector=17
My guess is that it's starting to turn a bit towards the NE.

Through 7 AM Central Park's snowfall measurement is at 2.0". I wonder what it will be when this snowband passes
