8 inches of snow imby. I feel horrible this morning didn't get outside until about 1 o'clock to shovel and my car is dead. I have a splitting headache. 1 of the hardest storms to take in my life. with that said I still receive 14 inches of snow in this last week and now have 21.5 for the season and I agree with with Frank and others have said time to move on to the next storm. best remedy for failure is to learn and move on

Abba. Therein lies the problem. Much more so in CPK than the other spots. Please read the emails from NOAA and if your close to the park and have some time, volunteer. I'm 50 miles from Central Park or believe me I would.

We had an official total of 7.5 inches here in Bayonne.
This morning when I woke up at 5am and looked out the window, the sidewalk in front of the apartment houses across the street and the side street itself were all visible under the blowing snow, but in front of our own apartment house were drifts of at least a foot, covering the second step from the sidewalk. My husband almost cried tears of joy when he saw snowmageddon did NOT arrive overnight.

27 degrees. Feels like 14.
Winds from the NNW at 16 mph.
No final snow total, it's still blowing around and too cold for me to go out!

Nemo redux which I was expecting, only differece is Nemo was expected to cutoff west of city well in advsnced, this wasnt expected by a majority of forecasters and NWS which led to a state of emercency, tons of hype and an overblowing 18-24 forecast fueled by total reliance of EURO and NAM and ignorance of GFS.Frank_Wx wrote:NjWeatherGuy wrote:6" here

Hey Frank , was watching cnn they were talking about why the storm busted , they also said the new GFS is the model that nailed it . Is that true and overall how has that model performed in recent storms

I am sure some where out there the guy(s) who reprogrammed the new GFS is smiling from ear to ear, could it be that the KING is about to lose its crown? For that crown was certainly dented with this storm.

The day EURO model lost all its credibility...showing this type of snow map just 24 hours before the storm

This has to be the biggest bust storm in recent memory. That or the March 4-6, 2001 storm in the nyc area at least.

Thanks for posting this Frank, how I remember it well, 30-48 inches area wide and I was right in the middle of the jackpot and I ended up with 4 inches.
The NAM should have been suspended for 50 days after that run for some type of PED abuse.
