I don't blame you one bit. I just came in from round 2. Still have a few rounds to go. I'm up against the ropes. "Cut me Mick"
Soaked to the skin.Steady rain, just miserable.
Hi weatherwatchermom, I am on long island, nassau county. I didn't measure unfortunately because it had all turned to rain by the time I got out there. I literally got soaked to the skin, came in for a dry coat and dry gloves, went out and did it all over again.Still am not finished.
It's good your son is able to help you out. My son, who's 26 now, moved to Florida, and when I text him pictures he just laughs and says "I don't miss that stuff." I still enjoy a good snowstorm, but the work following it, not so much. Stay warm and relax, you earned it.

Still a very fine snow/sleet mixing coming down and windy. Keep waiting to go start the cleanup but it just isn't shutting down completely.

Hey Bob, he's a college kid. The only thing he has to dig out is himself from all the empty beer cans and wine bottles.
All kidding aside, looks like you really hit the jackpot aiannone, good for you. What is that object you are circling in your picture? Nevermind, I see it's a car lol. I couldn't tell you were pointing the camera down, thought you were pointing up at the sky.

take it slow..it is hard if you do it by yourself...my son is 12 and this is his first year shoveling...my husband got him a shovel with a big bow on it as on of his birthday gifts...husband thought it was amusing..son did not...lolGreyBeard wrote:weatherwatchermom wrote:yes totally miserable...I am still cold after a hot shower...and I see the plow just came by and blocked my driveway..how much did you get in your area? are you NJ or NYGreyBeard wrote:weatherwatchermom wrote:we just got in the winds are whipping..it stopped for the time we were outside measured about 6 inches..I had 4.25 of snow this morning..the rest came from sleet...NOW IT IS POURING SLEET AGAIN!! another heavy band going on right now
nothing but a special weather statement from NWS all warnings are gone
Bands of moderate to locally heavy snow will continue to push
through the Lehigh Valley, Poconos, and northern New Jersey late
this afternoon. An additional inch or so of snow accumulation is
likely. In addition, strong northwest winds of 15 to 20 MPH with
gusts up to 30 MPH will result in areas of blowing and drifting
snow.

Snow hasn't really been accumulating much here the last few hours, just very small fine flakes. Looks like i'll finish somewhere around 15-16 inches. A bit of an underperformer here as every model & upton had me getting 18-24" but still a very impressive storm nonetheless.

Yes fellow HV brothers, this and this years February storm evened out for us what we missed during last Januarys blizzard. We only recieved 11-12 inches from that and I believe Jim and Hyde got an inch or two.
Anyhow 19.6 inches here and hoping to still get to two feet.
Damian if you're out there what's your total? I believe he was at 20 3-4 hours ago.

# worst NYC "blizzard" ever..
NYC schools will never close for weather again.
24" at mom and dad's. In a lull right now with more about to move through. For me here on LI this was a joke and a waste of 5 days tracking.

CP, this storm just brings me back to the 1960's when I live in "always goes to mix and rain" Fort Lee, and always wanted to live in "areas N and W of the City will receive more snow"! I remember visiting my Uncle's Farm in Westtown NY near High Point in December of 1966 when there were a few slushy inches in Fort Lee but up at Unc's there was over 2 feet, blowing snow with snow showers all day.
Think that 2 feet is a long shot but who knows!!! 20 is a lock, an incredible storm for March 15.A real Hudson Valley Special.Think it was just a little too west or we would have gotten those bands Alex is under.Oh well, better than a S and E scroo job we have been suffering with, lol.

CP, I got 3 flakes from last Januarys blizzard. I was sucking virga the entire day. I estimate 18-20 inches from this one so far and still snowing light to moderate with howling winds.

I got about 12.5 in Wayne. Love it. Over a foot in March. Winter has been saved. Yes over 2ft was possible, but its still snowing lightly and a foot in March is success. Congrats to the big winners!! CP you did awesome!!!!
