Wow, nice pics man!!! Careful out there.
This storm was maybe 50 miles away from being a Godzilla. If NYC was included in the higher amounts I would have pulled the trigger. It is definitely one for you (and others).

Yeah I just went outside. As njweatherguy said it’s deceptively bad. We may be up to 2” now but it’s all blowing around so it’s nasty.abayoumi21 wrote:billg315 wrote:23* light to moderate snow here. Wind continues whipping. Tough to get accurate measure with wind but I’d say we’re about an inch.
Bridgewater, winds definitely here. I would say about 1.5 -2 inches. Surprised winds made it this far inland along with some heavier bands recently.

i'm not getting Mt Holly's thoughts with this. i'm only in 2-4" but with the blowing, drifting snow and severely low visibility you'd think they go from winter weather advisory to winter storm warning. i have no idea what criteria fits anything anymore. they've gone with a warning for less lol

Winter storm warning in Upton area, NYC, LI and N&W suburbs is 6 inches or more, in Mt' Holly area it's 5 inches or more.

Frank, This has to be the heavy snow band you are talking about. Very Heavy and the winds don't help

NYC area east and Jersey Shore will all be 12-20”. Highest east. I’m approaching double digits already. I’m sure I’ll be at 10” by 11:00 am. My buddy who is a cop in Queens just called me to say the roads are nearly impassable.

Re: January 4th Mothrazilla: Final Call & Observations
What an awesome hit for the Shore. Total white out conditions now...heavy snow for the past 7-8 hours and at least 3-4 more hours of banding present on radar. I'm shooting for 14-16" out of this. I just looked outside again...INSANE snow rate right now!

Rb just an inch here but thinking this will go until around 300 and should get 3-6. What time do you think this ends up here? radar looks good.
