If it verifies and is measured correctly, I always have to add that, this could give them over 27 inches enough to break NYC's all time record of 26.9.

And we all have the NAM to thank for it.

FRANK IF WHAT YOU POSTED ABOUT ADDING ONTO WHAT WE ALREADY HAVE GOING FORWARD VERIFIES, EVERYONE FROM NYC EAST THROUGH LI (and I'm sure most of northern Jersey) WILL BE ANYWHERE FROM 26" to 32". IMPOSSIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Snow is lighter here now but I think it's just subsidence before the heavier stuff.

I know this is the wrong thread but I have to say it once. The NAM is the new king  king of OTI, no offense to ex king Mugs whose statue has already been taken out of storage and prominently displayed in the town square.

lol! lol!

HERE HERE! Did you see the pton map for us buddy? 18 to 24!! A few days ago we were hoping for 6,LOL!

21 degrees and there will be no sleet mixed in here. 86% Barometer collapsing now at 29.46.

Intense heavy snow reminds of the Feb 1983 snowstorm. Solid 3 inch per hour rate for 6 hours straight.

That's insane..if that verifies it'd be the biggest snowfall in NYC history, but a relatively wide margin too. More than 96, and I mean more than the real measurement, not the great under count of 20" or so in CPK at the time

Just so you guys know where the northern cutoff is it is over my house in Hyde Park NY in Dutchess county. I am located on Hudson river in central dutchess. I have had just a few flakes so far but 20 miles or so south it is snowing pretty good. It sucks but I knew this could happen.

I am in West Orange and I just don't know where I can possibly measure the snow. The wind and drifts are insane. I have a two-car width driveway and one side is barely any snow and the other side is like two feet!

dk that sucks, I'm 20 miles due south of you and it's been ripping here since 8am. The damn gradient we've been talking about all week must be right south of you. I've been there so I can totally sympathsize and it sucks, to close for comfort right now.

Heavy snow here and a guesstimate of 5 inches so far all since 7:30 am or so this morning.

We are very lucky CP that cutoff is just above us and Damian, hyde and jimv are not getting the heavy stuff like we are.

My helpful handy fence post markers I placed in the Fall show the one foot marker being covered.Don't know how accurate it is but it is just crushing it out there.Have not seen this kind of snowfall since Feb 1983.
