Cousins. It's a known fact that when it snows they all drink gallons of the cheapest Baileys they can find and use rulers that are from 72 also (1972) with other markings wiped away. If only they drank the homemade stuff with Jameson instead of the Shine.

Re: January 23, 2016 Roidzilla Observations
I can't find any measurements for my town. Has anyone seen anything?
I can try to measure myself if someone can tell me the best way to do so!

Dunz, I'd trust you to measure anyday but a lot of these trained spotters are off.Grselig's was, I think RB and my property in Monroe had 13 inches, CP had 12.The trained spotter up here measured 9.Lot's of variability in the measuring.

Re: January 23, 2016 Roidzilla Observations
I think there was a lot of different readings due to the winds and the banding. Some of the bands were just east of mugs and I but were so close you could taste it! Also, Upton was slow to update their reports page. I was so frustrated because Channel 7 kept using old totals. I would go to Upton's site and reports were hours old! Crazy storm, and I think when a map gets put together with measurements it will be wild! But we got our first storm and it is almost as much as my average winter snowfall!

Tone i measuresd 20" in mt vernon I'm only 5 miles from you.lol southern Westchester didn't do as well as other places especially in new york city and we're so close to them. we had about 5 hours of a very light snow from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Which cut down our with totals here. Valentine's Day 2006 was a much bigger storm for my area. We probably got close to 30 inches in that oneDtone wrote:I measured 30".

The town nearest to me reported 33" (Morris Plains, trained spotter). I might believe that - it's damn close anyway. Thigh deep in a lot of spots.

It must of been 15" that fell btwn about 2pm - 8pm. I was walking around 330, it felt like youd get lost in your own neighborhood.
Maybe you were just on the fringe of that band that seemed stationary. 20" is still a hell of a storm though.
