I might be losing my mind but I think I see a few flakes of snow falling in my back yard.

Rest assured, you are not. We could see snow showers and flurries all weekend long.

Thank goodness. I thought my desperation for snow was making me see things. Should have looked at the radar.

guess you didn't get my joke. I saw. I was referring to the nhc and when they issue potential tropucal development areas sometimes seems haphazardly. Was jk.Frank_Wx wrote:jmanley32 wrote:Now question is will frank waver as much as the nhc with his percentage predictions lol haha

35.4 one of us is off, or maybe both.
You missed the 2.1 inches of snow Tuesday night at the end of the storm, in your totals. That should bring you to just over last years total.

Re: January 2017 Observations & Discussions
From JB on Mondays system FWIW
I am still concerned Monday on the east coast, mainly coastal areas VA to SE New England. This looks like a great set up for a Bastardi wave.. that is a wave so named when i got to Penn State when it snows in south Jersey and I wave at it going by. Actually we should have some flurries here. But that is negatively tilted trough with a wave trying to develop on an arctic front with water that is well above normal So if it does I will wave at it as it goes by.

Yes only about 7 degrees above normal for the date. I guess this January that's a victory.

Re: January 2017 Observations & Discussions
The last time it hit freezing at CPK was January 16th. The lowest temperature since then has been 34 degrees. And to think that this is the time period where we climatologically see the coldest temperatures...

I wonder what the longest above freezing stretch is in Jan.
Today is close but no guarantee to get to 32.
DC set a Jan record with 16 straight days above freezing.
